The day the Michelin stars are awarded is perhaps the most exciting day of the year for all top-tier restaurants. Except, that is, the day after Michelin comes to dine with you. I've heard that from several chefs. For the past few years, there have also been Green Michelin stars Awarded. A wonderful addition to the guide for restaurants featuring vegetables. Amsterdam has a total of 23 Michelin-starred restaurants, but I'm also counting Aan de Poel in Amstelveen, so this list includes 24 recommendations. Duchess and Graphite unfortunately lost their stars in Amsterdam this year. Several of these restaurants are also open for lunch, and booking ahead is essential. Read on for an overview of all Michelin-starred restaurants in Amsterdam in 2025.

First of all: thank you for being here to close out 2025 <3.
2025, you were everything I hoped you would be and more. So many new memories.
I don't yet know what 2026 will bring, but last year was one for the books. Highlights included trips to China, Mexico City, Egypt, and exploring the English countryside.
Entrepreneurs probably recognize that 2025 was not an easy year.
When I started Your Little Black Book, I had one dream: not to work to stay somewhere for free in exchange for content and the pressure of a "picture perfect" experience. But to use my revenue models to book and experience those special places myself, as a guest instead of an influencer, and to give you honest tips.
After almost 15 years of entrepreneurship, I'm so happy with the balance between editorial and commercial work and that I can also say no to things that don't feel right.
At the same time, it's still special that destinations, airlines, and hotels hire me to create a customized Little Black Book for them. I have complete freedom with these campaigns, and I believe in the value of these content-based tips that truly suit your taste. And they come from me personally, not from a machine.
So thank you for your support when you see #yourlbbcollab, #pressstrip or #prinvited ;-).
This will always be my dream job, the one I created almost 15 years ago. I still do as much as possible myself. That's energizing—from both successes and failures.
Luckily, I have a small team that helps with certain sections, and this year we're going through all the tips critically. What's still truly fun, and what's not?
As a leisure expert and queen of curation, I'm so excited to take yourlittleblackbook.me to the next level. Even though being an online entrepreneur requires constant attention and doesn't always come naturally, I wouldn't want anything else.
My mission remains: making your life easier.
So you don't have to search, but can simply choose well.
So glad you were here this year. Without you, there would be no Your Little Black Book 🖤
See you in 2026!
With love,
@anne_de_buck

Read on to discover which restaurants in Amsterdam have been awarded one or two Michelin stars. In recent years, Amsterdam has also seen three green Michelin stars awarded to De Kas, Bolenius and Flore!
Choux has been one of my personal favorites in Amsterdam for years, and I'm thrilled that they've finally been awarded a Michelin star. This restaurant proves that vegetables deserve to take center stage. Almost every dish revolves around seasonal vegetables, complemented by a bit of fish or game to enhance the dish. As a result, the food here is surprising, light, and incredibly flavorful.
The menu changes regularly, and I'm always surprised by combinations I'd never have imagined. Think different textures of the same vegetable, fresh acidity, and exciting vinaigrettes. The industrial interior with its tall windows gives the restaurant a creative, relaxed vibe. For me, Choux is the place to be if you're looking for an evening of fantastic food, but without the fuss.

Amsterdam has another top restaurant: CUE was awarded a Michelin star this year, and rightly so. The moment you step inside, you realize everything is perfect. The interior is modern and minimalist, yet warm. At the table, you'll savor dishes that play with fire and fermentation, without being overly complex. Chef George Kataras knows exactly how to make pure flavors exciting.
What I really love about CUE is that the experience doesn't stop at dinner. Downstairs in the basement, there's an intimate listening bar. After your meal, you can easily move on to some great cocktails and vinyl records that complete the atmosphere. For me, an evening at CUE truly feels like dining out and going out all rolled into one. It's a restaurant I'll definitely be returning to often.

The new addition to the two-Michelin-star list for 2023 is Vinkeles, the restaurant in the luxurious The Dylan hotel in Amsterdam city center. I must admit, this is one of the few one-star restaurants I haven't yet dined at, but I'm planning to change that this year. A Michelin-starred restaurant with a hotel is, in my opinion, the perfect place for a birthday getaway. Under the leadership of chef Jurgen van der Zalm, the team achieved this special accolade last year.

Under the leadership of chef Bas van Kranen, the concept was completely overhauled. They were quickly awarded two Michelin stars and a Green Michelin Star. At Flore, the cuisine is fantastic, with an incredible amount of love for the ingredients.

I think everyone in Amsterdam who dined here expected them to receive two stars in no time. Well deserved for team Richard van Oostenbrugge and Thomas Groot. Eating here was always an experience at the large bar, with a 360-degree view of the chefs preparing the most delicious dishes right in front of you. After a major fire, the restaurant was completely renovated, and the bar setup made way for intimate booths where you can enjoy the menu. I haven't been back since the renovation, but I'll definitely be back this year when we have something special to celebrate!

Chef Sidney Schutte and his team are cooking up a storm at Spectrum at the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam. One of my favorite restaurants in Amsterdam, with two Michelin stars, this is the place to go for a special night out with surprising and unique dishes. Not officially in Amsterdam, but because it's so close, I'm including it in this list: Restaurant Aan de Poel in Amstelveen, run by chef Stefan van Sprang, which has also held two Michelin stars for several years.

A few weeks ago, I dined at Showw for the first time, and as soon as we walked out, we announced to each other: this new restaurant in Amsterdam is getting a star this year. At the Michelin star ceremony in Maastricht, sommelier Lendl Mijnhijmer and chef Dorus Floris received the first new star of 2024. The cuisine at Showw is classic, and on your plate, you'll be treated to proven flavor combinations you'll dream about in bed at night. Langoustine, crab, seasonal meat, and the finest sauces, for which they happily bring an extra piece of bread. A restaurant where everything is perfect!
Gelrestraat 28, Amsterdam – restaurantshoww.com
Of all the new Michelin stars awarded in 2023, this is the place I've been most often to this past year. Simply because the food is fantastic, but also because (if you arrive early) you can sometimes snag a spot at the bar that same evening. I hope this award continues that trend! Definitely order the shrimp cocktail if it's on the menu. It's a sight to behold and absolutely delicious!
Utrechtsestraat 57, Amsterdam – bistrodelamer.com

In Amsterdam's Houthavens district, Lars is the restaurant you'll want to try. Under the leadership of chef and owner Lars Scharp, this restaurant seems to get even better with every new menu. In the evening, you can enjoy a set menu of 5 courses or more, and for lunch, you can dine on a 3- or 4-course menu. The menu features classic French dishes with Asian influences.

A few doors next to Bistro de la Mer you will find (from the same team as restaurant 212) The jewelerI can safely say it's become a classic on Utrechtsestraat, a place you'll return to again and again. Anyone who loves bone marrow will definitely want to order it here! Savor the seasonal flavors, be surprised by the wines, and start your evening with oysters and a champagne beurre blanc.

In 2021, Daalder was awarded its first Michelin star. Shortly after, they relocated from the Jordaan district to Amsterdam West, where they now serve up some truly exceptional cuisine. The menu changes with the seasons, and at Daalder, they do things a little differently. Don't expect a stuffy atmosphere here, but rather a modern, Michelin-starred restaurant.

My favorite place for dinner at Wils The bar seating offers a direct view of the open kitchen. Here, the cooking is done over an open fire, guaranteeing a unique spectacle all evening long. Wils is the second restaurant under the leadership of chef Joris Bijdendijk (of RIJKS) and was awarded its first Michelin star in 2021.

I think everyone expected this, if a green Michelin star were awarded in Amsterdam, then From Kas to be the top contender. And yes, it has come true and is more than deserved. In the summer, you can enjoy the terrace, and in the winter, cozy up in the greenhouse with a view of the starry sky. At this restaurant, vegetables are the real stars of the menu. Perfect for a completely vegetarian evening!

Anyone who still thinks you can't eat well in Amsterdam's city center needs to do their homework. Bougainville, in the new Twenty Seven hotel, is set to earn a Michelin star within a year. It's an intimate restaurant with an open kitchen and views over one of the country's most famous squares: Dam Square.

The White Room, led by signature chef Jacob Jan Boerma, was awarded a Michelin star shortly after its opening. The interior alone makes for a special evening out.
