Mata Hari Amsterdam: the new restaurant hotspot at the red light district

23 February 2013

Mata Hari is a very nice restaurant in Amsterdam city centre. In the heart of the red light district this cosy place is perfect for lunch, coffee, drinks, dinner seven days a week. This restaurant in Amsterdam is an all day hotspot where you can escape the crowded red light tourist district. Downstairs there are several area’s that give you the feeling that you’re at home! Huge couches and comfy chairs, a cappuccino, free wifi and a newspaper and that’s all you need. At night this restaurant in Amsterdam is great for drinks, since they have a bar area too. The menu at Mata Hari is inspired by Italian flavours and very reasonable priced. The antipasti is delicious to share! I can recommend the ravioli, but I must admit I’m a fan of almost all ravioli dishes. After dinner it’s fun to stay for drinks. Mata Hari restaurant in Amsterdam is a rare find at the red light district. All places are tourist traps and it’s very hard to find something sophisticated in the red light district. Mata Hari is my favourite restaurant there, together with the trendy Meatballs restaurant. These two belong in your Amsterdam Little Black Book!
