Lunch plans and looking for a nice lunch spot in the center of AmsterdamLook no further, because we've found them for you! 25 in fact! When we searched the Jordaan, Haarlemmerbuurt, the Nine Streets, the Red Light District, the Canal Belt, and the city center, the list quickly filled up. Did we miss your favorite? We'd love to hear about it. Enjoy these great lunch spots in Amsterdam City Center!

Odette's buffet
Whether you fancy a sandwich or some real Toast Skagen with shrimp? Kessens They have it all! You can also order a breakfast menu here, served with juice and coffee. Something to celebrate? They're happy to serve you a glass of bubbly with your breakfast! In the warmer months, they open their doors and have a few tables on the terrace.
Rozengracht 24, Amsterdam, Center – Kessensamsterdam.nl
Bar Fuel: Best known as a drinks spot, but did you know you can also enjoy a delicious lunch here? The generously filled organic spelt-sourdough rolls are always a hit, and the specials are also highly recommended!
Festina Lens: a favorite eatery in the JordanYou can eat really well here for very little money. I especially enjoy lunch here in the summer, because then you can eat your sandwich outside on the small, sunny terrace.
Gs: The ideal spot for a leisurely lunch or brunch. You'll immediately feel at home in this trendy and cozy living room. The food is excellent and organic, and the cocktails are so delicious that you simply can't stop at just one.
Coffee spotA lovely coffee spot on Elandsgracht where they serve not only good coffee but also a variety of flammkuchen. A great spot for lunch in Amsterdam city center.
The Vault: Settle down on one of the Chesterfield sofas for a cup of coffee or join us for a leisurely lunch. The menu offers simple dishes to suit all tastes.
One of the nicest restaurants I've eaten at recently is definitely Cafe Restaurant Verlan in Amsterdam. Do you remember the location of wine bar Envy on the Prinsengracht? A very cozy and atmospheric old warehouse, which, with the opening of Verlan, is bustling like never before. Because it's a true Amsterdam gem, there are various nooks and crannies, each with its own unique atmosphere. From dining at the bar to banquettes with high tables, and from round tables to tables set with white linens. I was there recently for an early lunch, and it was so lovely with my husband on a Saturday afternoon. A table full of dishes, a bottle of wine, and cycling home rosy-cheeked. That's what I call a perfect Saturday! The French-inspired, no-nonsense menu at Cafe Restaurant Verlan in Amsterdam is extensive, and you'll want to try everything. What I really like is the lunch menu, where you can enjoy a delicious appetizer and main course, or main course and dessert, for a very reasonable price, just like in France.
Na Café Binnenvisser in Amsterdam West and Restaurant Corner Store In Amsterdam-Noord, the same team opened Café Twee Prinsen in Amsterdam city center. Open seven days a week, from drinks until midnight, and also for lunch or brunch on weekends. Peering in through the large windows, you'll immediately see the charm of a modern Amsterdam brown café. This is the perfect place for delicious food and drinks, and when the weather is nice, you can relax on the canal-side terrace.
Prinsenstraat 27, 1015 DB Amsterdam – (Center) – tweeprinsen.nl
LaviniaThe food at Lavinia is pure and organic. You won't find any E-numbers in any of the dishes! Everything is made fresh daily, making it a great place to eat healthy!
Pure Coffee: a hidden gem on Utrechtsestraat for juices, sandwiches, and great coffee. Especially in the summer, this is a great spot for lunch in Amsterdam City Center, as they have a small courtyard where it's lovely to relax—yay!
Odette's buffetAt this cozy canal-side bistro, you can enjoy breakfast and lunch 7 days a week! Order the famous (truffle cheese) omelet or go for soup, pasta, quiche, or salad!
Vegabond: Vegabond is a vegan hotspot in the city center! A great address on the Leliegracht with A wide range of vegetarian and vegan food. At Vegabond, everything is made fresh daily without the addition of unnecessary seasonings.
SLA Fancy a healthy lunch? At SLA on Utrechtsestraat, they have a variety of salads, soups, and delicious juices! You can also take them home.
Lotti's Bar & GrillThe Hoxton Hotel's restaurant! It's a great place for dinner, but you're also more than welcome to stop by for lunch!

Omelegg
The Last CrumbHidden spot for breakfast and lunch! A small, cute little place that serves delicious sandwiches and quiches. It's always busy here, and if you can't find a seat, I recommend just ordering a sandwich to go.
De Bakkerswinkel: for breakfast, lunch, coffee, cake and delicious quiches!
The best place for a hearty hangover-cure breakfast! This omelette restaurant is all about the tastiest egg dishes. And the best part: the delicious omelets aren't just available in the morning, but all day long!

It's probably a good thing there's always a long line at Chun in the Nine Streets. Otherwise, I'd be having breakfast here every day with their delicious brioche toast! If you ask me, these are quite possibly the best sandwiches you can get in Amsterdam right now. So my advice: get there before 10.00:XNUMX AM on weekends or during the week (when it's a bit less busy). It's worth the wait. Favorites on the menu are definitely the bulgogi and the shrimp toast. Order a homemade lemonade with it. They also have excellent coffee.

What started as a bakery, now you can also enjoy a delicious meal. Morgan & Mees's top baker, Paula, makes the most delicious rolls, pastries, and croissants; they're absolutely mouthwatering. The café is open Tuesday through Sunday. They recently started serving dinner some evenings, but keep an eye on the website for that. This spot is perfect for an early breakfast or a tasty lunch in the Nine Streets.
Wolvenstraat 22, Amsterdam, Nine Streets – instagram.com/bakkerijwolf
This popular all-day breakfast and brunch spot now has two locations in the Nine Streets: both on Reestraat and Berenstraat. The first location was in the Reestraat And you've come to the right place for (detox) juice, a healthy breakfast, and to shop for the best gifts and must-haves. Order at the bar and find a seat.

Ree7: a small restaurant in the Negen Straatjes For breakfast and lunch! The menu features a variety of sandwiches and delicious salads.
Libertine Comptoir de Cuisine: At this all-day hotspot, you can get French toast all day long, so if you love French toast, you've come to the right place! There are plenty of other options on the menu too, and the smoothies and shakes are apparently delicious.
Sous Bar Bistro: Spot Brix in the Nine Streets is now called Sous Bar Bistro, and you'll want to check this hotspot out! Order puccia for lunch, Italian street food and the restaurant's pride and joy.

TurpentineAt Terpentijn, you can enjoy French-Asian dishes for lunch or dinner. And who wouldn't love lunch in Amsterdam City Center with summer rolls, a Thai salad, or a pulled chicken sandwich?
PressroomThis restaurant at the INK hotel is highly recommended for both lunch and dinner. They serve delicious smaller dishes, and on weekends, a DJ spins great lounge music.
metropolitanHere they serve croissants, porridge, fruit, and eggs Benedict. They also offer various crêpes, sandwiches, burgers, and salads. Perfect for an afternoon lunch!
GartineTucked away in a narrow alley between Kalverstraat and Rokin, you'll find Gartine. The perfect spot for coffee and lunch. Their delicious dishes are made with as many organic ingredients as possible.
At this all-day breakfast and brunch hotspot, you can choose from a wide variety of egg dishes. They also serve pancakes, French toast, burgers, and homemade pies; perfect for the weekend! They have two locations, one in De Pijp and Amsterdam Center.

@eetcafe_de_reiger is the spot to remember.
Cozy, casual, and a seasonal menu. This one was on my list to share for a year and finally it's (almost) asparagus season again! 🤤
Another plus? Prices are very reasonable here!
📍 Eetcafé de Reiger
Jordaan, Amsterdam City Centre
Save this spot for when you're craving warm Dutch traditional dishes in the heart of Amsterdam.
And did you hear the same team took over Eetcafé van Beeren? I can't wait to go there too!

A cookbook from Grandma. Three Michelin stars. And a beautiful 70s villa in a quiet neighborhood in Bangkok, where you are welcomed as if you were at the chefs' home.
The Sühring brothers do not cook based on trends; they cook from memories. Of their grandmother's farm, of the flavors of their youth in Germany, and of techniques passed down through generations.
@relaischateaux invited me to experience Sühring during a solo lunch, and this is truly my ultimate definition of culinary self-care.
This was a surprising afternoon in Bangkok, where I ate the best German food I have ever tasted. And that in a city where I normally avoid European restaurants. Well, for @restaurant_suhring, you really want to make that exception.
Signature dishes that I still think back to regularly?
🍴 Labskaus with caviar
🍴 Enleta waffle with Pfalz vinegar
🍴 Game pie
🍴 Dry aged Duck
TIP: If you go to Sühring, reserve the seats at the kitchen bar so you have a view of the chefs at work!

In this reels I take you along for fine dining in Bangkok at the three Michelin starred restaurant Sühring.

This is one of the nicest free outings in the spring! Did you know that you can gather (or pick, for the connoisseurs 😉) oysters yourself in various places in the Netherlands? I’m in Zeeland for a bit this weekend, and if we can, we’ll go again.
📍In this video, I show where you can fill your bucket.
Comment oester for the comprehensive guide with all details about all 8 locations + handy tips and rules.
Important to know:
– Max. 10 kilos per person (≈ 1 bucket)
– For personal use only
– Do not scoop or scrape the soil
– Go at low tide
Handy to take with you:
Bucket, screwdriver, boots, work gloves, tea towel, clean clothes and garbage bags (for the oysters and dirty clothes).
And of course: also bring an oyster knife, lemon and champagne 🍋🥂Because you want to taste something right away!
The oyster season runs from September to about April / early May, so now that the water isn't so cold, this is the perfect outing.
In the full guide, I share exactly where you can easily find them without much effort. Leave a comment and I'll send it to you right away!
Who do you want to go oyster collecting with soon?
