First of all: thank you for being here to close out 2025 <3.
2025, you were everything I hoped you would be and more. So many new memories.
I don't yet know what 2026 will bring, but last year was one for the books. Highlights included trips to China, Mexico City, Egypt, and exploring the English countryside.
Entrepreneurs probably recognize that 2025 was not an easy year.
When I started Your Little Black Book, I had one dream: not to work to stay somewhere for free in exchange for content and the pressure of a "picture perfect" experience. But to use my revenue models to book and experience those special places myself, as a guest instead of an influencer, and to give you honest tips.
After almost 15 years of entrepreneurship, I'm so happy with the balance between editorial and commercial work and that I can also say no to things that don't feel right.
At the same time, it's still special that destinations, airlines, and hotels hire me to create a customized Little Black Book for them. I have complete freedom with these campaigns, and I believe in the value of these content-based tips that truly suit your taste. And they come from me personally, not from a machine.
So thank you for your support when you see #yourlbbcollab, #pressstrip or #prinvited ;-).
This will always be my dream job, the one I created almost 15 years ago. I still do as much as possible myself. That's energizing—from both successes and failures.
Luckily, I have a small team that helps with certain sections, and this year we're going through all the tips critically. What's still truly fun, and what's not?
As a leisure expert and queen of curation, I'm so excited to take yourlittleblackbook.me to the next level. Even though being an online entrepreneur requires constant attention and doesn't always come naturally, I wouldn't want anything else.
My mission remains: making your life easier.
So you don't have to search, but can simply choose well.
So glad you were here this year. Without you, there would be no Your Little Black Book 🖤
See you in 2026!
With love,
@anne_de_buck

I have always been part of the family and have always been proud of my work. I have a nice garden in my garden 🗝️👀
Mark your calendars! Because on January 17th and 18th, Hotel Night returns to Amsterdam with a year-round event packed with health and wellness events, and of course, legendary parties you'll be talking about all year long.
I got a sneak peek at The Art of Balance theme at the luxurious Anantara Krasnapolsky and arranged a similarly special experience for you as a YLBB follower.
And in my opinion:
• overnight stay for 2 people in a luxury room on January 17, 2026
• access to the spa & wellness (subject to availability via the wellness desk)
• pre-dinner cocktail at Bar The Tailor
• fully catered dinner from the chef
• passe-partouts for the Hotel Night parties
• extensive breakfast in the Winter Garden
• participation in unique Ice Experience in Krasnapolsky Summergarden
And in Flanders:
• let us know who you would like to check in with at Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky during the Mastercard Hotel Night
• download the Mastercard Hotel Night app where you can see the complete program
• and take a look at @hotelnacht and @anantarakrasnapolsky for the latest updates and to get the fun started!
The winner will be notified on January 5th in a comment from @hotelnacht that I will share in my stories.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
Love,
Anne

I hope you had some nice days too 🖤.

De Willem has become a fixture on the lively Haarlemmerplein square. This all-day spot boasts not one but two terraces: one at the café and one at the restaurant. Both are perfect for a sunny lunch, a leisurely drink, or a stylish dinner.
Haarlemmerplein 58, Amsterdam – de-willem.nl
On Lindengracht, you'll find Café Enté, a warm and relaxed spot where you can easily pull up a chair on the terrace. The atmosphere is like a traditional Dutch pub, but with excellent food. From lunch to dinner and everything in between, it's all about shared dining and spontaneous lingering. Plenty of room for walk-ins, so it's also ideal if you're looking for a last-minute spot in the sun.
Lindengracht 31, Amsterdam – enteamsterdam.nl
Café Nieuw Amsterdam boasts a charming courtyard garden behind Haarlemmerstraat, a modern bistro where you'll feel instantly at home. The streetside terrace is lively, but the lush courtyard garden is the real gem: perfect for lunch, drinks, or dinner al fresco. The Sunday Roast is highly recommended on Sundays, and in the summer, they go all out with scallops, oysters, and shrimp during the Fête du Poisson.
Haarlemmerstraat 75, Amsterdam – cafenieuwamsterdam.nl
For anyone who loves wine, Oocker on Frederiksplein is an absolute must. The two owners are experienced sommeliers, and you can taste it in every sip. Sit down on the terrace for lunch or dinner with a French-Italian menu full of dishes that pair perfectly with their carefully selected wines (over 350!). The atmosphere is relaxed, the food exciting, and the wine list impressive without being pretentious.
Frederiksplein 29h, Amsterdam – oockeramsterdam.nl
On the corner of Vijzelgracht is CENC, the worthy successor to Bambino. With a sunny terrace, delicious dishes, and a compact yet exciting menu, this is a place you'll easily linger. Order small plates to share and finish with their famous soft serve ice cream with olive oil and sea salt. Good company and even better wine included.
Vijzelgracht 5h, Amsterdam – cafecenc.nl
Imagine yourself in Paris, right on Westerstraat. Parlotte brings everything French cuisine has to offer to Amsterdam. The patio tables are brightened up by red and white checkered tablecloths, and the service is always impeccable. Highly recommended!
Westerstraat 182, Amsterdam – parlotte.nl
As the name suggests, you're truly in the lee here. Right in the heart of the city, yet peaceful. The food is excellent, but the terrace isn't large, so arrive early! Once you've snatched a spot, you'll have a view of the Leliegracht canal.
Leliegracht 26, Amsterdam – restaurantdeluwte.nl
You're literally sitting right on the water here, bathed in sunshine. The terrace isn't part of the Michelin-starred restaurant, but of Brasserie Marie. The food is still delicious, but more affordable. You can also just pop in for a drink and enjoy the view.

Enjoy a sunny dinner on Beethovenstraat at Brasserie Margaux, the elegant sister restaurant of Café Garçon. The terrace is perfect for people-watching while savoring escargots, ratatouille, or bouillabaisse, served on French porcelain with silver cutlery. Everything is perfect here: from the hand-laid marble floor to the bistro-chic atmosphere.
Beethovenstraat 27, Amsterdam – brasseriemargaux.nl
Café Maurits proves that fine dining and neighborhood pubs are a perfect match. Inside, it feels like a classic traditional pub with dark wood and a warm atmosphere, but the sunny terrace also makes this spot a favorite during the day. Enjoy a refined three-course menu, created by a chef who previously worked at the Michelin-starred restaurant 't Nonnetje. Add a good glass of wine, and you've found your new lunch or dinner spot in Zuid.
Hoofddorpplein 1, Amsterdam – cafemaurits.nl
Bar Bonnie is the ultimate bistro spot in Oud-Zuid for those looking for good food and a cozy atmosphere. The partially covered terrace offers shelter from the elements, so whether you're looking for lunch in the sun or drinks under the heater, you'll find a great spot. From a morning coffee to a leisurely lunch with a draft beer, Bonnie is the kind of place where you'll spontaneously linger until dinner.
Amstelveenseweg 226h, Amsterdam, Old South – Bar Bonnie
Café Garçon transports you to a Parisian terrace, right in the heart of Oud-Zuid. The cozy terrace is perfect for a leisurely lunch or a romantic dinner with a fine glass of wine. From salade niçoise to foie gras: the menu is packed with French classics that never get old. Combine that with the charming interior and relaxed atmosphere, and you'll understand why this bistro quickly became a fixture.
Johannes Verhulststraat 105, Amsterdam – cafegarcon.nl
At Williams Farmhouse, you'll feel like you're in the English countryside, but right in the heart of Oud-Zuid. On the cozy terrace, you can sample British classics with a modern twist, such as meat pies, Sunday roast, or a warm crumble for dessert. Everything is served in a homely setting reminiscent of a countryside inn.
Beethovenstraat 55, Amsterdam – williamsfarmhouse.com
Joris Bijdendijk (known from RIJKS* and Wils*) has opened a new location at Amsterdam's Stadionplein. Wils Bakery Café is a combination bakery and bistro, the Burgundian sister of Michelin-starred restaurant Wils, located on the building's third floor. Wils Bakery Café offers the best of both worlds, a place where the craftsmanship of a bakery meets the coziness of a French bistro. Whether you're enjoying a more exclusive dinner or lunch at Wils*, you can pop in without a reservation at Wils Bakery Café for classic lunch and bread dishes. Think: the Reuben sandwich, an asparagus quiche, and pâté en croute. Bijdendijk and his team also serve their best versions of schnitzel, slavink, and soft serve ice cream. Bread, pastries, and lunch can also be purchased to go at the bakery itself. In the summer, Wils Bakery Café also has a lovely terrace on Stadionplein. Sounds good, right?
Stadionplein 24, Amsterdam – wilsbakerycafe.nl
For a moment, it looked like this restaurant would close its doors for good, but thankfully, they're back! The terrace is across the street, so you're literally sitting on the water. The menu features standard Grand Café dishes. It's great: you're truly out of the hustle and bustle, and the drive there is also enjoyable.
Amsteldijk Noord 355, Amsterdam – kleinkalfje.nl
Just outside the bustle of De Pijp, you'll find Café Caron. The menu features high-quality French dishes. Fancy a drink beforehand? Then head to Kleine Broeder. Petit Caron at the Gerard Douplein!
Frans Halsstraat 28, Amsterdam – cafecaron.nl
Good, affordable food and a lovely patio. Sounds like a great combination, right? And what's even better: they have patio heaters, so you won't get cold here anytime soon!
Ferdinand Bolstraat 178, Amsterdam – restaurantvolt.nl
Imagine yourself in Rome for a moment, but right here in Amsterdam's De Pijp neighborhood. At Caffè Pico, you'll enjoy the finest Italian ingredients on one of Amsterdam's most charming terraces. From wafer-thin pizza to pasta vongole, it all tastes just a little bit better outdoors.
Ferdinand Bolstraat 72, Amsterdam – caffepico.com

© Wils Bakery Café
Enjoy Michelin-star dining on a large, sunny terrace! Lunch here is also highly recommended.
Sophialaan 55, Amsterdam – rongastrobar.nl
In the heart of Oud-Zuid and oh so cozy. Schotsheuvel (or just "Schots" to those in the know) is an inviting café with a terrace. Move with the sun from aperitif time to drinks and snacks.
Banstraat 14, Amsterdam – schotsheuvel.nl
They have a lovely terrace here, as well as a great menu. Perfect for starting your afternoon with drinks and then sticking around for dinner.
Marathonweg 1, Amsterdam – marathonweg.com
A terrace you'll fall in love with. Just outside the bustle of De Pijp, practically on the water. Seats along the facade offer a pleasant shade, while other spots offer delightful sunshine. The menu features refreshing fish dishes to complete the experience.
Van Ostadestraat 1, Amsterdam – sjefietshe.nl
On a charming square in De Pijp, you'll find this pizzeria. The pizzas are truly delicious, and the terrace is small but pleasant. Arrive early if you want a spot—even inside, as it's always busy!
Karel du Jardinstraat 32, Amsterdam – renatospizzeria.nl

Badhuis, the all-day spot on Javaplein square, where a sense of community and good food go hand in hand. The large terrace offers a wonderful view of the lively square, and thanks to the children's menu and spacious layout, it's also a great spot for the whole family. Whether you're looking for a lazy brunch, a coffee in the sun, or a dinner that extends into drinks, everything is possible here.
Javaplein 21, Amsterdam – badhuisamsterdam.nl
Café Maxwell has been a fixture on Beukenplein for years. This small but cozy eatery is the perfect spot for a drink, an affordable daily special, or a few specialty beers on tap. On sunny days, the terrace is the perfect place to start the afternoon and gradually transition into the evening.
Beukenplein 27, Amsterdam – maxwellcafe.nl
Fancy a holiday feeling without leaving the city? At The Greek Embassy on Weesperzijde, every day feels like a sunny Athens day. On the terrace overlooking the Amstel River, you can enjoy Greek dishes with a modern twist, fine wines, and a relaxed atmosphere.
Weesperzijde 85HS, Amsterdam – thegreekembassy.com
Located in Oosterpark, Spring Café Brasserie is a great all-day spot with a terrace that's rightfully featured in the Terrace Top 100. You can literally sit here all day in the sun, overlooking the greenery of Oosterpark. They even have a kids' menu, perfect for a relaxing family day out. An added bonus: they regularly offer specials like high teas, bottomless bubbles, and champagne brunches.
Mauritskade 61, Amsterdam – springcafebrasserie.com
De Ysbreeker has been a staple in Amsterdam East for years. It's a true all-day spot, so it's also a great place for lunch or coffee in the sunshine during the day.
Weesperzijde 23, Amsterdam – deysbreeker.nl

In the always lively and bustling Javastraat, you can visit Le French Café all day long. A modern French bistro where the menu is packed with the best of France, you'll feel like you're in Paris. The interior is absolutely stunning! Another thing I really love about this new Amsterdam restaurant is the variety of charming nooks and crannies throughout the space. A table to sit at, small bistro tables where you can quietly read a newspaper, a cozy bar for endless drinks later in the day, and of course, a lovely terrace. The menu features delicious brunch dishes like eggs Benedict, steak tartare, and more. Want to stay for drinks after brunch? Then Le French Café is definitely the place to be.
Javastraat 42, Amsterdam, East – lefrenchcafe.nl
Foer comes from foraging, or gathering wild food. Being outdoors is therefore very important to the people of Foer, and their terrace is therefore a special one. Housed in an old coffee house, everything here exudes charm and character; a truly enjoyable experience with fantastic food.
Cruquiusweg 9, Amsterdam – foeramsterdam.nl
Expect a huge terrace here! We're told it can accommodate over 200 guests, and yet it doesn't feel too crowded. It's very cozy, with comfortable corners and benches. There's a fantastic play area for the kids, so feel free to bring them along.
Eastern Trade Quay 34, Amsterdam – thehoxton.com/amsterdam/lloyd
Roasted in the morning, on your plate in the afternoon. That's the promise of restaurant De Kas, which boasts a fantastic terrace in the heart of Frankendael Park. From the terrace, you can look out onto a garden full of herbs and edible flowers. You bet you'll find them on your plate afterward.
Kamerlingh Onneslaan 3, Amsterdam – restaurantdekas.com

A true neighborhood favorite. Why? High-quality food, easy access. We always feel welcome here, but especially on the large terrace on Wibautstraat. Enjoy a chef's menu or create your own menu with snacks and bites. Naturally, with a nice glass of (natural) wine.
Wibautstraat 105HS, Amsterdam – alba-amsterdam.nl
Another favorite on Wibautstraat: BAUT. From lunch to dinner and from coffee to cocktails, we can always find a spot on the terrace at BAUT Oost. The lunch and dinner menus are excellent, but the snack (and cocktail) menu is definitely worth checking out as well.
Wibautstraat 125, Amsterdam – bauoost.nl
You can eat very well here in the middle of Javaplein. They don't have a large terrace, so arrive early if you want to get a spot!
Javaplein 23, Amsterdam – wildboars.com
Looking for a delicious waterfront dining experience in Oost? Then head to Ode aan de Amstel. Located where Riva once stood, you can now enjoy an affordable all-day menu. Prefer to go all-out with multiple courses? Choose the chef's menu!
Amstelboulevard 1, Amsterdam – odeaandeamstel.nl
A hidden gem in the East. The food is simple but delicious (definitely try the cheesecake!). Even a little sunshine here feels like the middle of summer. Like!
Ringdijk 58, Amsterdam – guldeneenhoorn.nl
This terrace borders Artis Zoo, so the view is a given. Now you can also enjoy a good meal there, so it's a real win-win!

On Bilderdijkstraat, you'll find Café Binnenvisser, a modern traditional pub serving natural wine and surprising seasonal dishes.
