You can't get much closer to Central Station than Loetje, as it's right in front of Stationsplein. It's already the eighth location, and you know what to expect: the best steak in Amsterdam. But also classic lunch dishes like club sandwiches, toasted sandwiches, and sandwiches.

At Gebroeders Niemeijer, you'll not only find the best croissants in Amsterdam (also great for lunch), but they also have delicious sandwiches – all from their own bakery. And while you're there, be sure to grab a loaf to take home.

On Nesplein, behind the ever-busy Rokin, you'll find The Lobby Nesplein. Part of Hotel V, it's a lovely spot with a lively atmosphere. They serve delicious flambées and are open from early morning until late at night.

Lot 61

Lot61 recently opened a second (huge!) location near Amsterdam Central Station. At the bottom of the Double Tree Hotel, you'll find a huge space where you can not only enjoy great coffee, but also have lunch or relax with your laptop. An ideal base near Central Station.

Vatten Ramen on Zeedijk is open every day of the week for a Japanese lunch. Starting at noon, they serve chicken and vegan ramen, as well as a variety of starters and snacks.

Another lovely gem near Central Station: Hanneke's Boom. Think of it as a beach oasis on the IJ River, because at Hanneke's Boom, you're completely unaffected by the bustle around the station.
