get your festival tickets for 9 and 10 september!
9 and 10 September it’s that time again, festival Lollapalooza is back in Berlin. Last year I was there as well and it was such a great party with performances by Radiohead, Kings of Leon, The 1975 and many other cool bands. The festival area is quite big and has many spots where you can chill in between some acts and has many food areas too, with delicious (and also healthy!) food. And the fact that it’s in Berlin, with all the amazing afterparties, makes it all you need for a good weekend partying in Berlin.
And yes, also this year it’s going to be so nice at Lollapalooza in Berlin. So were you planning on going to Berlin for a weekend OR have you always wanted to go to a festival abroad? This is your chance! In this blog, I share all my personal favourites from the line-up and maybe I’ll see you there for some dancing?
13 x performances at lollapalooza berlin 2017 to check out
Foo Fighters: oh yes, this American rock back is going to make the Lollapalooza Berlin crowd crazy! You probably guessed it already, but this act will be on the main stage.
The XX: missing out on The XX at Lowlands this year? No problem, because they are at Lollapalooza as well! Their new album I See You is such a succes and includes some very great tunes that you just want to hear live.
Mumford & Sons: it’s almost impossible, not knowing any songs of Mumford & Sons, because they definitely had some hits the last couple of years. Do you remember I Will Wait or Believe? If you like indie-folk music just like I do, you don’t want to miss their performance!
Hardwell: Dutch artists at this festival? Yes, present! Yellow Claw is coming, but so is DJ Hardwell. A bit mainstream maybe, but hey, that EDM vibe is always great at festivals.
Two Door Cinema Club: this is one of my favourites and really one you shouldn’t miss. Trust me! This indie-rockband from Northern Ireland plays the nicest and most danceable songs. Yes, everyone will go crazy! I’m going to check them out for sure.
London Grammar: what a voice, wow! Most people probably know the song Strong and if you don’t, listen to it below. London Grammar makes nice and calm indie pop songs which will give you goosebumps. Don’t skip it…
George Ezra: Budapest… do you recognize that song? Yes, that’s from George Ezra. With his beautiful low voice and guitar songs, this English singer started a good career at a young age. And he’s still going strong, because he will be at Lollapalooza Berlin 2017 as well.
Rudimental: how to describe Rudimental? Hard one… They’re a mix of many different genres. Think of soul, electro, hip hop and also house. That’s a lot right, but danceable for sure, no doubt!
Michael Kiwanuka: he was named Sound of 2012, and we understand why. Also in 2017, it’s still a great sound to listen to. 60s and 70s soul and jazz vibes. We love it! Maybe even one of the best artists of the last couple of year.
The Vaccines: this group of four from London makes songs and you just can’t stand still. A mix of different genres and also very catchy. Let’s go ;-)
Bear’s Den: a lot of British artists at Lollapalooza this year, and the folk-rock band Bear’s Den is one of them too. Great voice and instruments like guitars, drums and don’t forget the banjo (no joke!). Sit down in the grass and enjoy!
Aminé: want some upbeat rap? Then you should check out the American rapper Aminé. I didn’t know him before, but after listening to some of his song I know I want to see him live! Another pro of festivals like this one, discovering new artists.
Sigrid: this 20 year old chick from Norway sings a lot about self-love and power of young women. YES! She has a very chill sound. Therefore don’t skip this act, girl power!
