My Life blog: High Tea at Tassenmuseum Hendrikje

13 February 2014

High Tea at Tassenumuseum Hendrikje

Since my parents live in Zeeland I don’t get to spend a lot of weekends with them. So when I spotted the new Barbie exhibit I invited my mom over for a mother/daughter day in Amsterdam. Tassenmuseum Hendrikje is one of my favourite museums in Amsterdam. And did you know it’s the largest museum of bags and purses in the world?

After picking up my mom at Amsterdam Central Station we went straight to the museum. We first did the tour through the museum checking out all the barbies and the permanent collection we sat down at the beautiful historic dining room for our high tea. Especially for the Barbie exhibit you can book a Barbie high tea.

With the high tea comes unlimited tea and three servings of savoury and sweet bites. Don’t make dinner plans if you do the high tea ;-). You will be stuffed all day!

After two pots of tea and many many delicious bites we left the museum again. Tassenmuseum Hendrikje is located close to the Utrechtsestraat which is a nice street for some afternoon shopping.
