Libertine Café Amsterdam: all day café in the Wolvenstraat

from coffee to drinks with delicious italian bites

Good news if you’re missing Wolfje in the Wolvenstraat just like I do. Libertine Café Amsterdam is the new hotspot of the Nine Streets where you’re welcome the whole day long. Where this hotspot is? Right across Wolfje! I was there on the first day that they were open for lunch and I’m an immediate fan. A relaxed atmosphere, beautiful marble tabletops and an open kitchen with a large brick kiln. A bistro, but different! Libertine Café Amsterdam is the new café restaurant of Steven and Casper Reinders, and actually, they don’t want it to be called a restaurant.

Tip: watch the video to get a good impression!

This new hotspot in Amsterdam shall be a café with good food. A place where you’re just as welcome for only a good glass of wine accompanied with a snack as you are for an extensive dinner with a table full of dishes to share. You can’t make reservations. Very refreshing and perfect for everyone who, just like me, likes to make plans last minute. To spontaneously go out for dinner is always the best, right?

Menu x Libertine Café Amsterdam

The menu of Libertine Café in Amsterdam is filled with Italian dishes. From tasty pastas to risotto, pizettes out the oven and more. For lunch I had the sardines (so good!) and as a side dish the gratinated cauliflower out the oven. The risotto with beetroot is also recommended! The dishes are simple and no nonsense. Perfect accompanied with a drink, but if you want a more elaborate dinner you’ll just taste everything of the menu!

Libertine Café Amsterdam

Libertine Café Amsterdam opens its doors as early as 10AM till late. My office is around the corner so chances are I’ll see you there sometime :-).
