A bit hidden, but not unloved. De Hapjeshoek previously received a 9,5 (!) rating from Het Parool for their takeaway meals. Mara Grimm even called it "eating in Surinamese heaven." De Hapjeshoek has been around for over 25 years and is run by three brothers. Surinamese cuisine features a mix of Creole, Javanese, Hindustani, Chinese, and European influences, and you can taste them all at De Hapjeshoek. From pom to vegetarian pastries and, of course, homemade sambal: there's no shortage of delicacies here.
