The brunch virus has now also taken hold of Florence. And that's good news! My favorite spot for a delicious brunch or lunch in Florence is Le Vespe Cafe. A cozy hotspot on Via Ghibellina, easily recognizable by its azure-blue door.

There's an English chef in the kitchen at Le Vespe Cafe in Florence. And it shows! The menu features many traditional brunch dishes, and if you didn't know better, you wouldn't think you were in Italy.
Think brunch classics like eggs Benedict, but also delicious sandwiches. I had an avocado sandwich, and it was delicious! Order one of the brunch cocktails like the Bloody Mary or a healthy fresh juice. Perfect for a lazy afternoon!
At Le Vespe Cafe, all ingredients are sourced from the local farmers market whenever possible. This spot is perfect for vegetarians, as almost nothing uses meat or fish.
