We previously wrote that we were overjoyed at the opening of Le Smash in De Pijp . And now the time has come: the second location of this popular burger joint has opened in Amsterdam-West.
It quickly became clear after the first few weeks in De Pijp that Le Smash is a success. The wafer-thin smash burgers they serve are without a doubt one of the best burgers in AmsterdamAnd now there's good news for everyone who lives or works in West: the second Le Smash location has opened on Jan Evertsenstraat.
For those unfamiliar with the concept: a smashburger is placed like a ball of ground meat on a piping hot plate and immediately flattened with a spatula. The result? A wafer-thin burger with a crispy edge, and juicier than you've ever tasted. The secret lies in the simplicity and the quality of the meat.
The familiar menu is also available in West. There are four burgers to choose from: the classic and special for meat lovers, and two Beyond Meat versions for vegetarians. The burgers are made with dry-aged beef and come standard with cheddar, pickles, onions, ketchup, and mustard. The special is also served with a homemade sauce and can be upgraded with bacon.
What else comes with it? Nothing more than what's essential: homemade fries and coleslaw. Because a good burger needs little frills.

Le Smash isn't the place for a full-blown dinner, but it's perfect for a quick and truly delicious bite. Think weekend lunch, or a quick post-workout meal with friends. The atmosphere is relaxed and exactly what you'd expect from a modern burger bar.
