In one of the main streets of Santa Maria hidden behind a porch is restaurant Le Prive. A French restaurant in a courtyard where it feels like you are somewhere else than in Cape Verde. At Le Prive they serve dishes from the grill with a French twist. The only restaurant in Santa Maria where I’ve seen ceviche on the menu! The smoked fish platter is a must try. Everything is house smoked! You can also eat a very delicious beef tenderloin here, for if you don’t feel like fish for dinner.
