loulou pizzabar brings you the best pizza’s from the woodoven
Pizza lovers ATTENTION! The doors Loulou Pizzabar Amsterdam have opened and that’s very good news. Because at this new spot at the Weesperzijde you’ll get the best pizza’s of the Netherlands. And yes, that’s a statement we’re allowed to make. Because Loulou Pizzabar recently won the award for both best and healthiest pizza of the Netherlands. Yum!
It’s already been a while since we wrote about it and after weeks of renovation, the moment has come now. Loulou Pizzabar Amsterdam has opened its doors. A dream come true for owner Tawfik. Who wants everybody to get to know his healthy and – most of all – delicious pizza’s. And that’s why he uses his very own dough recipe for all his pizza’s. A mix of wheat flour, corn flour, soybean flour and other magic. And, he uses little olive oil. As a result, you’ll get delicious and super healthy pizza’s straight from the woodoven.
He gets his inspiration for all the different pizza’s from everywhere and nowhere. From personal experience (15 years!) and cookbooks to local ingredients of Italian provinces. For example chopped meat from Calabria. And this you’ll see on the menu. Besides the ‘standard’ pizza’s, you’ll also find self made up pizza’s with pomegranate or white truffle. That last ingredient is even part of his personal favourite and also bestseller: the Tartufo Bianco. White truffle with raw ham, mmm… A true recommendation!
So are you a pizza-fanatic? Then Loulou Pizzabar Amsterdam is an absolute must-visit. Extra fun: in the tough, modern setting you not only sit among people from Amsterdam, but also among Italians. Because Loulou Pizzabar has already become a household name. Make sure you book your table on time. Even though the place is only open for two weeks, it’s crowded ever since. And not only inside, but also outside. And although the terrace isn’t quite big, with the patio doors wide open also inside feels like outside. And in the sun!
