Kruisherenhotel Maastricht: design hotel in a former church

The Kruisherenhotel: a holy design hotel in Maastricht

If you’re looking for a very special design hotel in Maastricht the Kruisherenhotel should be on your shortlist! This is the first hotel I’ve ever been to that is located in a church. It’s magical, with the copper entrance tunnel and the high ceiling with beautiful decorations. The Kruisherenhotel is part of the Chateauhotels by entrepreneur Camille Oostwegel. This design hotel in Maastricht is located in the beautiful city centre in a 15th century cloister and boasts 60 rooms. In the summer there is a lovely inner patio where at the cloister garden. I can recommend going there for a special lunch even if you’re not staying at the hotel. At the bar of the Kruisherenhotel they have my favourite champagne Ruinart. Go there for a pre dinner glass of bubbly! The breakfast at this design hotel in Maastricht is heavenly. So take your time in the morning to experience the very special restaurant area of the Kruisherenhotel.
