While I love to try local food and drink when I travel, I always have a little I have trouble with Turkish coffee. It's so strong! So, no blog about coffee shops where you can drink the best Turkish coffee (sorry!). During my trip to Istanbul, I sought out the more Western-style hotspots where you can order delicious cappuccinos, lattes, and flat whites. Luckily, there are plenty of great coffee shops in Istanbul; here are my favorites!
Only open for a few months but I can already tell you that specialty coffee bar coffeetopia The place to get your coffee in the Sirkeci neighborhood is the place to be. The coffee shop was founded by Şerif Başaran, who competed in the 2003 World Barista Championships. And the coffee here is top-notch! Not in the mood for coffee? Try the Chai Latte. Mm, mmm, mmm!

The hipster neighborhood of Karaköy feels like a coffee heaven. So many great coffee shops here! Coffee Sapiens There's one of them. Here, they specialize in grinding beans from all over the world! Like beans from Jamaica or Yemen. And they also have their own exclusive blend that you simply must try.

Another place where you can get really good coffee. At specialty coffee bar Black Shorts Drink your coffee blended from Australia. So… with an Australian twist. Good coffee and a selection of filter coffees and espressos. And funnily enough, the bean buyer is a Dutch company! This hotspot in Karaköy is a must-visit!

A nice all day hotspot to drink coffee is Cormorant. A favorite among Istanbul residents because it's always pleasantly busy! Here you'll not only enjoy great coffee, but also a lovely, sunny terrace! Prefer decaf, soy milk, or organic milk? All options are available!

In Galata you will find this small (15m2!), cute coffee bar where they serve delicious coffees. Waggery Initially serving only Turkish coffee, the restaurant has since specialized in espressos and even roasts its own beans! The menu also includes homemade cakes and delicious herbal teas.
