Bucket list tip: eat the buttery-soft Kobe beef in Japan

For my book Feed Your Wanderlust I interviewed dozens of colleagues from the travel industry about their bucket list tips. Leonie, better known as the face behind "Gewoon Wat Een Studentje s'Avonds Eet s'Avonds," is a full-time food and travel blogger and has written numerous cookbooks. Which tip, according to this foodie, shouldn't be missing from your bucket list?

Kobe beef is incredibly expensive beef from cows in Kobe, a city in Japan. The cows receive special treatment, making the meat incredibly tender. You simply have to try it. It's a bit pricey (120 euros for a small piece of meat), but you get what you pay for. I've never eaten anything so delicious. Kobe is the most flavorful steak you'll ever eat, and it melts in your mouth. It was an unforgettable experience. On to Japan!
