First of all: thank you for being here to close out 2025 <3.
2025, you were everything I hoped you would be and more. So many new memories.
I don't yet know what 2026 will bring, but last year was one for the books. Highlights included trips to China, Mexico City, Egypt, and exploring the English countryside.
Entrepreneurs probably recognize that 2025 was not an easy year.
When I started Your Little Black Book, I had one dream: not to work to stay somewhere for free in exchange for content and the pressure of a "picture perfect" experience. But to use my revenue models to book and experience those special places myself, as a guest instead of an influencer, and to give you honest tips.
After almost 15 years of entrepreneurship, I'm so happy with the balance between editorial and commercial work and that I can also say no to things that don't feel right.
At the same time, it's still special that destinations, airlines, and hotels hire me to create a customized Little Black Book for them. I have complete freedom with these campaigns, and I believe in the value of these content-based tips that truly suit your taste. And they come from me personally, not from a machine.

This will always be my dream job, the one I created almost 15 years ago. I still do as much as possible myself. That's energizing—from both successes and failures.

This is the coolest new hotel for a night away! Meet @viaantwerp, Antwerp's newest boutique hotel on the border of Zurenborg and Borgerhout (yep, voted the 2nd coolest neighborhood in the world by Time Out).
I recently stayed at this gem, and it truly has it all: a lively bar with a cozy atmosphere, walls adorned with creative art, beautiful, bright rooms, and it's within walking distance of great hotspots. And I haven't even mentioned @mea.antwerp! The delightful restaurant, helmed by a chef who previously worked at The Palomar in London. If you know, you know!

Beach tent Tent 6 is one of those beach tents that instantly makes you happy. With a large, bright terrace, it's the perfect place to relax for hours while the kids have fun. In front of the terrace is a small playground and plenty of space to build sandcastles. On the menu? A lovely selection for the little ones, including raw vegetables like bell peppers and cucumbers. Cozy, relaxed, and completely kid-friendly.

Bad Egmond is a lovely, relaxed beach pavilion where everything revolves around the outdoors. The terrace has picnic tables where you can gather with the whole family. The atmosphere is relaxed and uncluttered, especially because it's not too big. For children, there's a small wooden playground right on the pavilion.

Zandvoort, located near Amsterdam, is a beach where you can easily spend an entire day. At Beachlub Tien, the kids can enjoy the playground next to the terrace, while you relax on a lounge sofa with a sea view. Perfect, right? Good to know: this beach club is seasonal.

Stranded
Beach tent Gestrand is tucked away behind the dunes, right next to Camping de Lakens, and is a true hotspot for families. With a large outdoor playground and an indoor play area, there's always something for kids to do, whatever the weather. While the little ones play, you can enjoy a surprisingly good menu and a stylish interior with a laid-back atmosphere.

The Quail
De Kwartel is located on a quieter stretch of beach and feels like a well-kept secret. For children, there's a wooden swing with a climbing rope where they can swing to their heart's content, which is even more fun at sunset. And let's be honest: adults can't resist a swing too. The menu also offers a great kids' menu.

Beach pavilion Willy Zuid
At Willy Zuid beach pavilion in Katwijk, you can enjoy a meal with the whole family. The menu also includes delicious kids' dishes. Want to stay a little longer? Book a Beach Bungalow for an overnight stay on the beach. There's also plenty for kids to enjoy on the climbing frame and play equipment.

This is the kind of place that instantly lifts your spirits. The colorful beach club has a relaxed atmosphere, comfortable seating on the sand, and plenty to do for kids. The Pirate
De Piraat is the best beach club in Candzand Bad for families with children. There's plenty for kids to do here, including a large pirate ship complete with a spinning wheel and a slide. Meanwhile, you can relax in the sun on the terrace.

Oasis Domburg
Oase Domburg is located on Westerstrand, one of the most beautiful stretches of beach in Domburg. The beach pavilion is open every day, so even if you're looking for a breath of fresh air on the beach during the week, you can visit Oase Domburg. Inside, there's a play area for kids and a delicious kids' menu.

The DAM
This is the kind of place you'll want to visit year-round, whether you're here for a stroll on the beach or a sunny afternoon with the kids. What makes this beach club especially great for families? Right next to the terrace is a large pirate ship in the sand, where children can climb and clamber endlessly. Meanwhile, you have a view of the sea and your drink within easy reach.
