Stay in style on a budget: Kex Hostel Reykjavik
Are you looking for a cool hostel in Reykjavik? Then go to Kex Hostel! A budget design hostel! Located at walking distance of all kinds of nice restaurants and shops. Kex Hostel is located in an old cookie factory and has a cool vintage industrial look with a modern twist. But it’s also a place where locals like to go for a beer! We got this tip from the bartender at Bergsson and so of course we had to check it out.

The hostel in Reykjavik is a meeting point for travelers as well as locals. So when it’s almost evening you’ll find yourself here with a good mix of people gathering at the bar. Or with good weather at the terrace behind the Kex Hostel. Sadly we didn’t have that luck ;-). But oh well, hanging by the bar isn’t so bad either!

Around dinner time the burger is a one of the favourite meals to order here. This one is apparently really food! Beef, Isbúi cheese, mayonaise with caramelized onions, veggies & fries. It’s not a cheap burger, but you definitely want to try it out! And after a couple of drinks at the bar you can simply roll back to your room. You can choose from a one and two-person(s) bedroom, a family room or a dorm.
