Museumplein Christmas Market – Christmas Village
The Christmas Village Amsterdam Christmas market opens on December 4th. It's full of wintery chalets with artisanal food and handmade (lifestyle) products. I also love that this market is also open on December 25th and 26th. Perfect for a quick visit before Christmas dinner, with your date or lover, or with the whole family if you don't want to stay inside all day. This will be one of the best traditional Christmas markets in Amsterdam in 2025, and it's also fun to visit with the kids!

Winter Market – Pure Market Christmas Market
This Sunday market in Amsterdam, just like the Funky Xmas Market, always remains one of my favorites. The last edition this year will take place in Park Frankendael on Sunday, December 21nd. Perfect for doing something fun with friends just before Christmas. To have drinks or pick up some tasty items for the visitors who will be visiting this Christmas. During this edition, there are again many stalls and of course the long swing bench where you can sit comfortably, watch the people and have a bite to eat! Just like the Sunday Market, this will be one of the Christmas markets in Amsterdam not to miss in 2025. Kids can have fun on the swing carousel during this Christmas market.

Funky Xmas Market – Sunday Market Christmas Market
This Christmas market remains an annual favorite! This year, the special Funky Xmas edition of the Sunday Market will take place again at the Westergas site. With numerous stalls offering delicious artisanal products to take home or enjoy, and plenty of places to enjoy drinks with friends. There are also stalls for gift shopping, from jewelry to items for kids.

Last year, the Sustainable Ceuvel Christmas Market was a huge success! At the Sustainable Ceuvel Christmas Market, you'll find food, drinks, harvests for your home, and green items for your Christmas tree. The café and terrace will also be decorated with beautiful lights and a dazzling Christmas tree! There will be cozy music playing, and you can enjoy warm drinks and delicious winter treats, like pea soup, by one of the fires.

The Amsterdam Winter Paradise Christmas Market
This winter wonderland event has become a fixture in December. And to extend the Christmas spirit, it runs until the end of December. This makes Het Amsterdamse Winterparadijs (Amsterdam Winter Paradise) a perfect Christmas market to visit during the holidays! This year, this Christmas market, which is actually more of a mega-Christmas festival than a regular Christmas market, is being even grander. With plenty of live music, various bars, entertainment for kids, and more.

On Saturday, December 13th, Christmas will be celebrated at Purmerplein with a festive Christmas market! Enjoy music featuring local talent at the open mic, and treats from Buuf & Buur, such as hot chocolate and mulled wine. Stroll past stalls featuring local craftspeople and discover the Christmas swap table for a sustainable swap.

Le Temps Perdu Brocante Christmas market at De Willem
On Sunday, December 14th, Restaurant De Willem will once again transform into a vintage Christmas market. Together with Le Temps Perdu Brocante, the restaurant will be filled with the most beautiful vintage and French antique finds, from plates and cutlery to glasses, silverware, and decorations for the festive table. Of course, delicious snacks and drinks will be available: they'll be serving homemade mulled wine, bratwurst with sauerkraut, oliebollen (Dutch doughnuts), and delicious wines from De Willem (tasting is welcome!).

Outdoor Market Noordoogst Christmas Edition
Have you ever been to the Noordoogst Outdoor Market? You'll find this food market at the nature playground and restaurant POF in Amsterdam-Noord. In December, the last edition of the year is often a festive Christmas affair, complete with mulled wine and delicious Christmas treats.

In December, Museumplein is once again transformed into a winter paradise. For me, that's always the ultimate winter feeling! You'll also find the best gifts and must-haves here when it comes to designer and art items, such as a beautiful drawing for your wall or handmade jewelry.

The Amsterdam Winter Terrace
It's not officially a Christmas market, but it promises to be cozy at the Amsterdam Winter Terrace! It's at a new location in Amsterdam: the Olympic Stadium. Amsterdam's largest terrace will open there for three weekends. With familiar faces from the Amsterdam restaurant scene, a gasometer full of heaters and tables, delicious drinks, and a fun side program to dance the night away! For this event, you need to buy tickets per evening or a pass for all weekends. So plan your evening out with friends now to avoid missing out on tickets!
