Kafé Kanard Amsterdam is the new and temporary pop-up by Kaagman & Kortekaas, where, from 14 January, you can enjoy the finest game and duck dishesAfter reading all the ins and outs of this place, you can already make a reservation, and you’ll want to.

Atmosphere and interior at Kafé Kanard Amsterdam

From 14 January 2025, Kafé Kanard Amsterdam will move into The Birdhouse @ the Lancaster Hotel on Plantage Middenlaan 48. This hotspot in East Amsterdam will be transformed into a place where Kaagman & Kortekaas enthusiasts can indulge themselves, with a focus on game and duck dishes. The Birdhouse offers a spacious venue with a modern interior featuring natural stone and wood, a touch of Scandinavian design, and a contemporary look and feel.

The reason for this pop-up is the renovation of Kaagman & Kortekaas. After nine years in service, the venue deserved an upgrade. Over a few months, the kitchen and interior will be thoroughly revamped. Those who can’t wait for Kaagman & Kortekaas 2.0 will find solace at Kafé Kanard.

Menu and dishes at Kafé Kanard

At Kafé Kanard, the motto of Kaagman & Kortekaas remains unchanged: nature is and always will be the origin of every dish. ‘t Twiske‘ forms the basis and inspiration for many dishes served at the restaurant, and it will be no different at Kanard. However, with the addition of plenty of duck – because, as the name suggests, this is the focus of this new, temporary spot. The excellent wine list of Kaagman & Kortekaas will also move to the temporary venue. A night where you’ll want for nothing is guaranteed.
