First of all: thank you for being here to close out 2025 <3.
2025, you were everything I hoped you would be and more. So many new memories.
I don't yet know what 2026 will bring, but last year was one for the books. Highlights included trips to China, Mexico City, Egypt, and exploring the English countryside.
Entrepreneurs probably recognize that 2025 was not an easy year.
When I started Your Little Black Book, I had one dream: not to work to stay somewhere for free in exchange for content and the pressure of a "picture perfect" experience. But to use my revenue models to book and experience those special places myself, as a guest instead of an influencer, and to give you honest tips.
After almost 15 years of entrepreneurship, I'm so happy with the balance between editorial and commercial work and that I can also say no to things that don't feel right.
At the same time, it's still special that destinations, airlines, and hotels hire me to create a customized Little Black Book for them. I have complete freedom with these campaigns, and I believe in the value of these content-based tips that truly suit your taste. And they come from me personally, not from a machine.

This will always be my dream job, the one I created almost 15 years ago. I still do as much as possible myself. That's energizing—from both successes and failures.

Red-painted cheeks, a pointed hat, and a knapsack: your child will feel like a real gnome on this 800-meter route. During the hike, you'll listen to a story and complete various tasks. On this gnome trail, you decide whether you want to walk a 500-meter or 1500-meter route. You follow the markers based on the color of your beaded chain. The gnome trail in Uden at the Maashorst is a full 2,5 km long and especially suitable for slightly older children. Along the route, kids will learn all about nature, discover which animals live in the forest, and enjoy feasting on berry bushes and picking trees. The Ruurlo gnome trail in the Achterhoek region of Gelderland is ideal for kids aged 3 to 6. Led by Wouter the gnome, the kids will learn about nature and follow in the gnome's footsteps at the Heikamp. The route is approximately 1500 meters long. At the gnome trail in Hoenderloo near the Veluwe, not only kids but dogs are also very welcome. Enjoy this approximately 800-meter walk with the whole family. The Schoorl Gnome Trail is about one kilometer long (about an hour's walk) and suitable for kids aged 3 to 7. The Gnome Trail in the Mastbos forest near Breda is a popular spot for slightly older gnomes. Along the 1500-meter route, you'll find no fewer than 25 fun challenges in the route booklet. Unfortunately, the Gnome Trail in Baarn is closed! At the starting point of the Baarn Gnome Trail, you'll receive a gnome hat and a knapsack full of treats. As you follow the gnomes, you'll listen to a story and complete tasks. Afterwards, you'll receive a real gnome diploma. Since the starting and ending point is a cafe, it's the perfect spot to relax with a snack and a drink. You can choose a route between 500 and 1500 meters. More info >>
