Jacques Jour lunch and brunch in Amsterdam North at Cafe Modern

4 April 2013

Hotspot for lunch and brunch in Amsterdam: Jacques Jour!

On the weekends I love to go out for brunch in Amsterdam! Especially on Sundays at Jacques Jour in Amsterdam North. I start my Sundays reading Saturdays newspaper and drinking cappuccino in bed. Then around 12 o’clock (ore often even later) it’s time for breakfast and lunch, aka brunch in Amsterdam! In Amsterdam North there are several nice restaurants, like Hotel de Goudfazant, Eye restaurant and Bar, Stork and Cafe Modern. During the day Cafe Modern Amsterdam is home to the lunch and brunch concept Jacques Jour. This hotspot in Amsterdam has a delicious seasonal menu, but also serves a half lobster with lemon mayonnaise. Or try the flammkuchen, it is heavenly! When the sun shines there’s an outdoor terrace with a few tables looking over the Meidoornweg. The interior of Jacques Jour is exactly the same as for Cafe Modern. The great mix of vintage and design we all love so much! If you’re not familiar with Cafe Modern, it’s housed in an old bank building. The restrooms are in a huge save! Jacques Jour is open for lunch daily and on Sunday for brunch in Amsterdam. When the Sweet Dreamz hotel opens you can go to Jacques Jour for breakfast as well!
