Best fish & chips ever at this restaurant in Reykjavik!

I have the bad habit that I love almost everything that is fried… so when I had the chance to taste some organic fish and chips I couldn’t wait to order. Icelandic Fish & Chips is a restaurant close to most whale watching stations, so this restaurant in Reykjavik is perfect for lunch after the wild boat trip. At Icelandic Fish & Chips they don’t serve the well known soda drinks, but only organic lemonades or ginger beer. The menu at this restaurant in Reykjavik works as follows: choose the fish you like best and some sides. Depending on your appetite I can highly recommend sharing the sides since the portions are quite large. The fish is delicious at this cute organic bistro. I think that is because the batter is made from spelt and barley what gives it the perfect crisp. As a side I can recommend the rosemary potatoes or the onion rings. This restaurant in Reykjavik is cheap, has friendly staff and is close to the harbour. A nice variety to the more upscale restaurants like Fish Company or Grill Market as well!

PS: more nice addresses and restaurant in Reykjavik are in my online Reykjavik Little Black Book. For the best restaurants, shops and things to do on a city trip in Reykjavik. If you’re in Reykjavik for more than 2 nights it’s nice to take a little tour out of town as well. And don’t miss out on the Blue Lagoon. It’s touristy, but a must visit on a trip to Reykjavik!

Have you been to Reykjavik? Did you like the city just as much as I did?
