Ibericus Amsterdam: this food store is a true jamon heaven

27 February 2013

Best iberco ham in Amsterdam at this tapas restaurant in Amsterdam

Or maybe I should say delicatessen store since you can just drop in and buy the delicious iberico ham for take out as too! This delicatessen store is a welcome addition to the more traditional shops at the Haarlemmerstraat. I would definitely take my bike there to go shopping for these hams since it’s a delicious bite for a night in with wine and a movie. But the real experience is what you get when ordering a good glass of red wine and a plate of iberico ham. Make sure you’re the one ordering because the helpful guys let you taste different flavours of the ham depending on your personal taste. That way you get exactly the type of ham you like best at this tapas restaurant in Amsterdam. Last time we met up with friends at Ibericus for a drink and bites, highly recommended. They serve different sandwiches for lunch and offer Spanish cheese plates for the veggies among us. This tapas restaurant in Amsterdam closes around 19 o’clock. Also perfect for a quick bite before going to The Movies, the cute movie theater down the street.

If you’re up for a Spanish night you will like this tapas restaurant in Amsterdam too: Pata Negra. Pata Negra is located at the Utrechtsestraat and close to the Oosterpark in Amsterdam East.

PS: also nice around the Haarlemmerbuurt are the shops Jutka en Riska and Het grote avontuur and cocktailbar Vesper!
