I LOVE… Monsak!

24 December 2013

I LOVE… the Amsterdam based brand Monsak!

Do you know the 100% Dutch and Amsterdam based leather brand Monsak? In her workplace in Amsterdam Old South Margriet makes the coolest leather items. From bags to pillows and notebook covers. The unique thing about Monsak is that you can order your bag custom made for you. Margriet even invites you to come over and pick the leather yourself! I got in touch with Margriet a few months ago. Two girls with a start-up talking to each other about their passion. We had so much in common! I really like the story of Monsak. Margriet her mom bought a leather sewing machine and at first Margriet had no real interest in it. Until she designed and handmade her first bag! That model is still a bestseller by the way. Now Margriet is making more custom bags every week and if you’re lucky you can also spot her at a Sunday or weekend fair in Amsterdam. When I told her that I was going to buy a new Mac Book Air the idea of a fashionable feminine but rough Monsak laptop bag was born. I love leather! My favourite colours are black and nudes and Margriet had just the perfect leather to make something unique.

I’m so happy with the result! The laptop bag is super stylish. And the cool thing is… I already got so many compliments when I was working on my blog at a coffee bar last week. My laptop bag from Monsak is made for a 13inch Mac Book, is petite and designed especially for me. (So awesome to be able to say that!).

If you’re interested in a custom made bag like mine or another bag from the Monsak collection you can contact Magriet via or check out the webshop.

The newest items at the Monsak collection are these leather pillows. When I have a new home I’m so going to get these :-).
