THE WINE OF THE PYRENEES

This charming old bistro serves the very best croque-monsieur in town: a classic with a luxurious twist, topped with Gouda truffle cheese. The golden combination of butter, toasted bread, cream sauce, and oozing cheese makes it a must-try. Also highly recommended is the steak tartare with homemade fries.
25 rue Beautreillis, 75004 Paris

MIZNON

Prepare for the best pita in Paris at Miznon. The routine is simple: order, dip your pita in a trio of sauces (tahini, tomato, and green chili), and enjoy. The pita filled with spiced fish and roasted cauliflower is especially worth a try.
22 rue des Ecouffes, 75004 Paris

BOFINGER

At Bofinger, it's all about sauerkraut – or sauerkraut. They have six versions on the menu, including two with seafood, but their signature dish, the Bofinger (sauerkraut, sausages, bacon, pork loin, and potatoes, topped with crémant d'alsace) is a firm favorite.
5-7 rue de la Bastille, 75004 Paris

GRAND BRASSERIE

This restaurant pays tribute to nouvelle cuisine and Michelin-starred chef Pierre Troisgros, who launched this culinary movement in 1967. At this impeccable, modern Grande Brasserie, you'll find the classic "Saumon à l'oseille": Isigny salmon with sorrel and steamed potatoes. Served like a pastel-colored work of art, this dish has a delicate flavor you won't want to miss. Finish your meal here with delicious baba au rhum and profiteroles (cream puffs).
6 rue de la Bastille, 75004 Paris

MINH CHAU

This cozy spot is an ode to nostalgia, with the star of the menu being "nems": crispy mini spring rolls from Vietnamese cuisine. Sold individually, the spring rolls are exceptionally large and long, the filling is just right, and they're crispy on the outside and extra soft on the inside. What else to order? The black pepper pork dish, recommended by food journalist Léo Bourdin.
10 rue de la Verrerie, 75004 Paris
