these are the best hotspots with a fireplace in amsterdam

SHIRAZ: SHIRAZ is both a wine bar and wine boutique in one. At this wine bar the concept focuses mainly on – as expected – wine. There are between 40 and 50 open wines and 150 wines in total (!). Perfect for drinking red wines with your friends or lover at the fireplace ;-)

Blijburg: At Blijburg you can go for a nice long meal. Here you can enjoy good food and drinks all day long. From your first cup of coffee to your last red wine, and everything that comes in between ;-) And all that, of course, cosy by the fireplace.

Hannekes Boom: Yes you read that right: our favo summer hang out is definitely a cosy winter spot! At Hannekes Boom you can snuggle up against each other and enjoy the large fireplace in the middle of the restaurant.

The Lobby: One of our favourite places in Amsterdam with a fireplace is The Lobby from Hotel V at the Nesplein. This restaurant and cafe is super cosy and perfect for drinks with friends or lunch on a cold day!

The Lobby

The Lobby Fizeaustraat: Never change a wining team. That’s why the newest addition of The Lobby-family on the Fizeaustraat has a fireplace as well. The beautiful interior, good vibes and good food make that you want to go here every night.

Café Zurich: This spot at De Baarsjes is perfect to have drinks and bites with friends. There is plenty of space around the fireplace for your friends. You just need to be lucky that nobody beat you to it ;-)

Pllek: Another spot that is not only very nice in the summer, but also in the winter. Now that it’s really cold, the fireplace is the perfect place to hang out with friends. With a view of the IJ and a drink, you’ll get through winter here easily ;-)

Café De Wetering: De Wetering is a cosy bar with a nice homely atmosphere and is the perfect place to meet up with friends for a beer. The fireplace is via a staircase on a mezzanine above the bar.

Het Badhuis: Badhuis in East feels like a big living room. Sit at one of the couches and warm up by the fireplace.

Pacific Parc: Do you have cold toes after a stroll in the Westerpark? No worries….. the cool hanging fire place at Pacific Parc will warm you up. Order some hot chocolate and you are good to go.

Pressroom: De Pressroom is the restaurant, bar an lounge part of the INK hotel. Besides very good food and drinks you can hop into the library, where a crackling fireplace is giving you the warmest welcome.

Lion Noir: Lion Noir is an all time classic spot. You come here for the great cocktails and make sure to find you spot near the fire place. Tip: order an espresso martini, they are delicious!

De Vergulden Eenhoorn: The Vergulden Eenhoorn in East is the place where you can escape form the busy centre. This all year round cool spot is actually a old farmhouse which makes it very cosy. A big bonus is the fire place in winter together  with the heated terraces outside.

Meneer Nieges: From the same nest as the Vergulden Eenhoorn, Meneer Nieges has become a favourite of many in a short period of time. The location along the water is unique and it should as warm and cozy in the winter as in the summer over here. That’s why the have not one, but two fireplaces here. One inside, the other one on the terrace outside.

Noorderlicht: Another nice spot in Amsterdam North is Noorderlicht. It’s on walking distance of Pllek. Here you will find a tough, rugged fireplace where you can warm up.

De IJ-kantine: And we are gonna stay in Amsterdam North just a little longer! De IJ-kantine has a lounge with a fireplace where you can sit down, relax and have a cup of soup.

W Lounge: If you are looking for a place with a view then go to the W Lounge (at W Hotel). Take place in one of the design chairs close to the fire place. You won’t feel anything from the heat but it still looks really nice :-)

Hangar: You find Hangar along the IJ where the wind can blow pretty hard. So a warm cozy place is very welcome. To heat the place up Hangar does not only have a big fireplace, but very comfortable beanbags as well. Perfect for those cold bums ;-)

Westergasterras: Sit by the fireplace while you overlook the Westerpark! Enjoy a nice drink or bite, and you’ll have a great day!

Café Jaap: After ice skating at the Jaap Eden IJsbaan, you can warm up (or catch your breath) at the fireplace, with some hot chocolate or gluhwein.

The College Hotel: Whether you go to the lobby, restaurant or rent a room at The College hotel, there are fireplace everywhere! Beautiful, atmospheric fireplaces.

Have fun with warming up at one of these fireplaces!
