YESSSSS, it was a bit nerve-wracking... but they're staying at the NDSM wharf in Amsterdam Noord for a while longer. It's kid-friendly, a bit alternative, and therefore always laid-back. Pllek is always a great place to hang out, which is why we've been coming back since it opened.

Northern Lights Café

A classic in Noord where the atmosphere still feels truly Noord. We're looking forward to the time when a band gets to perform for an audience again! In the evenings, it almost feels like a festival, and during the day it's also a great place to hang out with the kids.

Man, oh man, I miss the nights that seem to only exist at Hannekes Boom. We've become so accustomed to this Amsterdam spot that you almost forget how unique it is. Beach-tent vibes right next to Amsterdam Central Station. If you haven't been in a while, put Hannekes on your to-revisit list for this summer!

As soon as it's possible again, as soon as it's allowed again... there's nothing more fun than catching a concert in the Paradiso annex and having a bite to eat beforehand or afterwards at THT. Especially around sunset, you have a wonderful view of Central Station from the elevated terrace.
