Hotspots week 22

Rotterdam

Hotspot & Lifestyle update #22

26 May 2014

Last weekend I cheated on Amsterdam…. I went to Rotterdam. It was the first time in years to be there more than just a few hours. And I have to admit… Rotterdam is full of cool spots! I stayed at two hotels that are perfect for a weekend getaway: Miss M B&B and Nhow! In this blog I will tell you about some of my new discoveries :-).

Hotspot & Lifestyle update week 22

Bird: If you’re looking for a cool and laid back restaurant in Rotterdam then Bird is perfect. With a daily changing table d’hôte menu and funky tunes this hotspot is great to start the evening with dinner and cocktails.

Mangiare: Our first night in Rotterdam we stayed at B&B Miss M. This eclectic B&B is owned by the same owners as Mangiare the cosy Italian restaurant and deli across the street. Both spots added to my favourites! My caprese sandwich at Mangiare was delicious.

Nhow: WOW! Our second night in Rotterdam we stayed at the new Nhow design hotel. The rooftop bar is a must visit even if you don’t stay for the night. The view from the bar on the 7th floor is amazing. Just as the view from our room on the 15th floor!

G&T: I LOVE the food and drinks from the mini-bar at Nhow! The packaging of this G&T kit… so cool. Tip: I was told that they also sell them at Hutspot in Amsterdam.

Matroos & Het Meisje: They say the Matroos en het Meisje is one of the best restaurants in Rotterdam. And I now know why! Very good table d’hôte concept with 3 to 6 courses. I will definitely go back to this hotspot at Katendrecht!

Du Bac: For a great Sunday brunch Bistro Du Bac is the place to be. Also located at Katendrecht on the trendy Deliplein. Try their escargots. Very tasty!

Remember: live your week like it’s weekend ;-)

and have a great one!

Some tips for later this week are Hemeltjelief Festival and Rollende Keukens. It’s a short week… almost weekend ;-).

PS: more hotspots are in the Amsterdam Little Black Book. A city guide to Amsterdam with the best restaurants, shops and things to do. Always new addresses coming up so check out your online Little Black Book daily for the latest hotspots in town!
