We are all busy, busy and busy, so sometimes we need a weekend away. We go to the beach, or the forests in the north of the Netherlands. How nice is it, if you stay in a hotel where you can also have dinner in the evening? We gathered our favorite hotels with a good restaurant. Here you will enjoy the most delicious dishes with matching vino and after you can chill and crawl to your bed in the nearby hotel. Doesn’t that sound like a perfect summer get-away with your lover or friends?

W Hotel – The Duchess: in the center of Amsterdam you can go to the W Hotel and to The Duchess restaurant. On the menu are French-Italian dishes, fine wines and good cocktails. Make a reservation for the Afternoon Tea with champagne!

Kop van ’t Land: culinary delights of vegetarian dishes can be found at the Kop van ‘t Land in Dordrecht. Chef Ewout cooks here without fish and meat but always with the freshest and most organic products. You think vegetarian food is boring? Be surprised by the daily changing delicious menus. Tip: order matching organic wines to complete the evening.

De Werf: take a good look at the coast of Zeeland! Restaurant De Werf has recently been completely taken care of by designer Robert Kolenik. The interior is best described by the term ‘eco chic’. After dinner, stay at Bed & Bread, a new bed and breakfast near the restaurant where you will experience the charm of the picturesque Veere.

The Duchess

Hilton: Have dinner at Roots, a restaurant that’s serving regional and seasonal dishes, and sleep at the 5-star Hilton Hotel in Rotterdam. The Hilton is located in the Lijnbaankwartier; the shopping area of Rotterdam. After a day of shopping, finish the day culinary at Roots in the Hilton.

The Duke Hotel: is located in a building that once served as a post office in the heart of Den Bosch. The place for interior lovers. Here you will find a mix of Scandinavian and French chic design with a raw industrial look. Dining is within walking distance at Bar Bistro Tic Tac. Where chicken and steak are favorite. Book an arrangement and get a 3-course menu.

Bitter & Zoet: in Drenthe a former hospital has been transformed into hotel and restaurant named Bitter & Zoet. Here you will find the ultimate combination of design, food and relaxation. Plan a spa day and use the Finnish sauna, infrared sauna and color light therapies. Have breakfast here with bread from your own bakery and dine with vegetables and fruit from your own vegetable garden.

Roots at Hilton

Hostellerie: surrounded by the green of the Heeze and yet close to Eindhoven. Hostellerie is a tip for those who like to combine nature and city during a weekend. Choose at the end of the day for delicious Mediterranean cuisine. From antipasti and risotto to pasta and classic Italian meals.

Merlet: if you like a weekend of culinary delights, Michelin Star Restaurant Merlet is the right place. Here Chef Jonathan Zandbergen cooks dishes based on the classic French cuisine. First enjoy a perfect dinner and night out and than stay in one of the most beautiful hotel rooms. The next day you can enjoy the wellness center. This hotel has a sauna, steam room and swimming pool.

Deans concept store: along the canals of Utrecht you will find the smallest hotel in the city. Dean’s concept store has only one hotel room: Room One. Shop the most beautiful items of Dutch and Scandinavian soil and stay in a beautiful design room. The menu is simple with soups, salads and sandwiches. But an unique experience in the centre of the city.

Morgan & Mees: near to the cosy Jordaan in Amsterdam, a historic building has been transformed into Morgan & Mees. A beautiful boutique hotel with nine rooms, a restaurant and a New York style bar. The menu includes classic Mediterranean cuisine and the bar serves craft beers, wines and good cocktails.

The Hoxton

The Hoxton: The Hoxton in Amsterdam is a hotel where you would like to come even if you’re not staying there. Enjoy Lotti’s Bar & Grill where you can eat delicious dishes from burgers to fish from the grill. After dinner it’s time for cocktails in the bar where it continues until the early hours. The next day you wake up overlooking the canal.

Piloersmaborg: stay in an authentic Gronings castle and dine at Piloersmaborg restaurant, one of the best restaurants of Groningen! Chef Dick Soek cooks amazing and uses local products. Local is really local here; the suppliers are all from Groningen. From fish and meat, to vegetables and fruits and from wines to cheeses.

Stroom: Stroom is a cool urban boutique hotel located in an old electricity factory in Rotterdam. In the brasserie, bakery and espresso bar you will find a mix of refined dishes and plenty of good coffee from a local brenner. Stay in one of the luxurious design studios or the urban loft. Tip: Go to Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen the next day after breakfast.

Derlon

Derlon: is located in the center of Maastricht, right on the Onze Lieve Vrouweplein. Surrounded by cosy restaurants, bars and terraces you will even enjoy during the autumn. However, at this design hotel you don’t have to leave the hotel. At the restaurant you can enjoy a Burgundian dinner with classic dishes. Or let yourself be surprised by the 2 or 3-course chef menu.

De Lindenhof: combine an overnight stay in a luxurious suite with a delicious dinner in the two star restaurant of Chef Martin Kruithof. Many of the herbs and vegetables used in the kitchen come from their own garden. Also, they have chickens from Twente that provide fresh eggs at breakfast. Ps: book the Lazy Sunday package here!
