Not a bad start to our vacation! It's nice to have at least one night of luxury before we travel through Borneo. Such a wonderful big bed with those soft pillows and crisp sheets... Looking back, it turns out this was the best night of these two and a half weeks of travel. And we're not the hardcore backpackers who sleep in hostels or hammocks. We do appreciate a little bit of luxury...
If you are checked in at this Pullman Hotel in Kuala LumpurThen there's no time to waste. Hurry to the Executive Lounge, if you've booked this exclusive service. Those typical Malaysian dishes are lovely (all-you-can-eat!). And the open bar is really nice too. ;-) Or just relax on the sofas downstairs in the lounge.
And how about a dip in the pool! It's so nice to step out of the pool feeling refreshed after a 13-hour flight. We feel completely recharged afterward.

Afterward, take a taxi to Bangsar Village. Walking isn't really practical. It's a 5-minute drive from Hotel Pullman. Shop for some outfits or grab a coffee at Plan B.
Then wander around and pick out the nicest place to eat. Everything is located around Jalan Telawi and all the way to Jalan Kemuja. There's plenty! Bangsar is a neighborhood very popular with expats. This is probably why there are so many trendy places. Bangsar loves cool coffee bars and nicely decorated restaurants. Want more tips for Bangsar? What a great start to our holiday!
