Checking-in: Hotel Des Indes in The Hague

24 hours in the grand hotel of the hague

Nothing better than going away for a weekend every once in a while to another city for a mini-break. Recently I spent a night in The Hague in Hotel Des Indes. An iconic grand hotel and a well-known concept in the city. Hotel Des Indes is around the corner of the cosy Denneweg, where lots of boutiques and nice restaurants are situated. To spend the night in this hotel has always been on my bucketlist. The afternoon tea in the weekend is immensely popular and definitely worth a try when you’re in The Hague and you have the time!

Hotel Des Indes

I have always had a weak spot for grand hotels like Hotel Des Indes. As soon as you walk in and your heels sink into the thick carpet, I always feel the expectation of being pampered. We had a room with a view of the roofs of The Hague. It’s lovely to sit on the window sill while enjoying your first morning coffee. The rooms in Hotel Des Indes are of a classical beauty. Did you know that the interior was designed by the interior decorator who also designed Hotel Costes in Paris.

breakfast and relaxing in the spa

Make sure you don’t skip breakfast when you’re staying at the Hotel Des Indes. In the separate breakfast room there’s a delicious buffet exposed with everything you can imagine. From healthy options to pancakes. So good! And certainly don’t forget your bathing suit when you’re staying at the Hotel Des Indes, because they also have a lovely spa and inside pool where you can relax after breakfast or after a day of shopping in the city!
