You want to try this: a chic high tea in Amsterdam city Centre
Afternoon Tea… So much fun and nice to do together with your girlfriends. And especially when it is the Afternoon Tea of The Duchess in the beautiful W Hotel in Amsterdam. I can hear you think: afternoon tea? Yes, the chic variety on high tea. And yes, this high tea in Amsterdam is definitely chic! When you are gonna do the high tea at The Duchess make sure to go there with an empty stomach. And believe me, you can also skip your dinner plans.
The afternoon tea at The Duchess is a culinary party. Which starts with choosing the tea. So many special flavours. To start the high tea in a festive mode you can also order a glass of champagne. And that is what we did!
However we didn’t had any lunch at forehand, we started to feel pretty full. We decided to share the sweet desserts. Except for the macarons ;).
All the beautiful things you get to eat at the high tea at The Duchess are served in different courses. First a scone, after that some special savoury dishes. Like a wellington with chicken, brioche croutons with egg and truffle and a salmon sandwich.
In the meantime you also get a few warm dishes which all taste so delicious. Quiche with shrimp and leek and a croquette of king crab. Sooo tasty!!
However we didn’t had any lunch at forehand, we started to feel pretty full. We decided to share the sweet desserts. Except for the macarons ;). The candy floss they serve with the last course is super cute!
You can order the afternoon tea at The Duchess in advance and you can choose for different variants fitting your budget from €35,-! The very extensive high tea we had costs € 59,- p.p and exists out of 20 dishes.
