Atmosphere and interior at Haku Amsterdam

A bonsai tree, light beige walls, and a minimalist interior: Haku Amsterdam is the perfect place to unwind. The bar, tables, and the rest of the interior are crafted from dark wood, giving you a momentary Japanese feel. The atmosphere contributes to this feeling, as Haku Specialty Coffee instantly makes you feel relaxed. This is thanks in part to the friendly staff and the depth of the building, which provides a sense of isolation from the bustle of the Rozengracht canal.

At Haku, they serve specialty coffee (made with love and care by their baristas). Whether you're looking for a flat white, cortado, filter coffee, or a simple espresso, Haku has it all. They also have ceremonial-grade matcha (latte) and, of course, sweet snacks to satisfy your hunger or ease the caffeine rush.

And want to incorporate a bit of that tranquility into your own home? You can! Unfortunately, the interior isn't for sale, but their coffee and the cozy mugs they serve it in are.

Haku Amsterdam is perfect for a coffee date or remote working

Although Haku Amsterdam only has a few small tables, you can work at the bar (which sits against the wall). It's not the ideal spot for a long phone session or an eight-hour workday, but it's a nice place to clear your inbox. Haku is also perfect for a coffee date or to retreat with a good book.
