Pssst… het is sale!
These 25 fine(r) dining restaurants in Amsterdam deliver to your house or do take-away
► Undercover: The best sushi in town? As far as I’m concerned, Undercover is the place to get em’. They were so close to open their doors! I’ve already eaten there once when they were still under construction and can’t wait to go back after the lockdown. The good news? They are all holidays open for take-away! Read the full story about Undercover >>
► Ron Gastrobar: Do you crave Indonesian food as much as I do? I have good news for you! Through Ron Gastrobar you can order a delicious rice table for four people or nasi ramen in meat, fish or vega for two. The boxes will soon be delivered by the restaurant throughout the Netherlands (and Belgium) and are already available in the outskirts, ‘t Gooi and for take-out and delivery in Amsterdam.
► Thuis met Daalder: Delicious, self-cooked 5 course menu with the instructions of chef Dennis. By far one of the greatest tips from lockdown1 and of course we will taste it again soon the next few weeks. Order every day until 14:00 and pick it up between 16:00 and 19:00 in West at Edel by Dennis and at Daalder in the Jordaan. Special: this time you can also order a children’s menu.
► Bar Alt: Last weekend we tested bar Alt’s home cooking dinner for the first time. I love what Chef Thomas came up with. With the instructions via the QR code, you will finish the dinner at home yourself. Matching beers, because that’s what Bar Alt is known for after all. The menu can be expanded with cheese from L’amuse!
► Café Cliché: The night after the lockdown1 I sat here at the table with my man. I really missed them! Good news that during lockdown2 Café Cliché Take Away is coming. From the second week onwards all the info can be found on their social media!
► RIJKS: Proud of these top riders who invented and set up a delivery service in no time during the first lockdown and were thus the bright spot for many other restaurateurs. During Lockdown2 they are back, and just different than usual. This time, with the instructions of chef Joris, you can finish the dishes at home in your own kitchen.
► 4850: Anyway, the cinnamon buns are the best in town if you need some comfort food during a round of park. Open for take-away with the last half of the week citizens for lunch!
► MOS: Moss has started with the “MOSsphere box”, a 4- or 5-course Star dinner that you only need to warm up and finish at home. You can also order a surprise box with fine wines. You can view the current menu on their website.
► Azure: This is one of the restaurants that was high on my list to eat when the first lockdown came. After the lockdown we sat there right at the table and WOW, what a nice thing. They now also start with take-away, like on Sunday a Sunday Roast. Hopefully sommelier Elise will now also give online wine lessons, for which you can keep an eye on the website.
► Kaagman & Kortekaas: They’ll be right back with a wonderfully changing menu that can be ordered for take-away. Completely in the style of how you would normally join Bram and Chiel! And expand with lots of other goodies.
Kaagman & Kortekaas
► Jacobsz: Jacobsz to GO is now open for orders. Through the website a nice daily snack can be ordered every day for € 13,50. We have eaten this many times during lockdown1, because it’s perfect for being at home. You don’t have to eat it immediately after pick-up, but you can warm it up the moment it suits you.
► Druis: In any case, this restaurant in the Bilderdijkpark is a place to remember for lunch or dinner in normal times. A Burgundian peasant cuisine. Pure and delicious. From October 21, they start with a 3-course menu for home for € 25,-, but you can also order individual main courses.
► Café Modern: At Café Modern you can order a specialtake-away menu every Saturday. During lockdown2 now 4 courses with bread. Order a bottle of natural wine like you would in the restaurant and you have a 4 course dinner for home for under €30,-. Every week, the new menu is announced via Instagram Stories and stored in a highlight so you can easily find it.
► Coulisse: On the website there is still nothing to read, but I already received an email that they will start the first weekend immediately. It’s a changing 3-course dinner for €37.50 to which you can add drinks if you wish and finish dinner at home in your own kitchen. Meals can be picked up between 17.00 and 19.30, at the reservation we ask you to indicate a preferred time. Reservations can be made via this email address.
► Fish on the Scheldt: From á la carte dishes to au fruit de mer and various fish boxes that are perfect for lunch or dinner. The dishes of Vis aan de Schelde do not have to miss this lockdown.
► Neni: Good news, during lockdown2 you can order the delicious Tel-Aviv-style dishes for take-away or delivery. Every day from lunch to dinner!
► Lille: Maybe in the coming weeks you will eat the delicious dishes of Lille more often than usual, because they are always full. From the Breton fish soup to the chicken. Everything can be ordered and picked up via the website in East.
► Watergang: Every disadvantage has its advantage, because Watergang comes back with a take-away from week 2 of lockdown2. Keep an eye on their Instagram for updates and ordering.
► Café Binnenvisser: Every Wednesday there is a new Indoor fisherman package for home to order. A dinner package for two people with 4-course with a bottle of wine and cider. The dishes can be finished with the supplied instructions and can be used in the fridge for three days. Also possible to serve with cheese of course!
► Shefietshe: The first weekend of lockdown2 has only the burger, but hopefully soon a more extensive menu to order. We’ll keep you posted!
► De Scheepskameel: from now on also delivered via Deliveroo. While I’m writing this the concept is not live yet, but the menu is already on their Instagram page so I expect them to pop soon.
► Choux: a weekly changing 3-course menu to make (finished) at home that can be picked up from Thursday to Sunday between 15:00 – 18:00. Ordering on time is a must!
► Bolenius: This fine dining restaurant on the South Axis has started with a home menu. The dishes only need to be finished and the 3-course menu can be expanded with cheese or dessert for those who want to make 4 or 5 courses. You can order by e-mail via the instructions on the website.
► Sinne: Unfortunately not tasted during lockdown1, but they are right back with a 3 course Star menu for less than €40,-. To order via the website!
► Felix: From Friday 23rd of October, restaurant Felix will start with Felix Take-away. Unfortunately, you will have to miss the beautiful ambience of the Felix Meritus building, but I’m sure they manage to give a touch of that for home. Be sure to advise you on matching wine when you pick up your menu.
► Restaurant DenC: The venison season has not been cancelled! At Restaurant DenC in a side street of utrechtsestraat you can pick up a venison menu to have an extensive dinner at home. They also offer other menus and everything can be expanded with cheese and matching wines.
► Jaspers: I’ve cycled past this store so many times on the Beltway, but unfortunately, I never came to eat here. I got tipped by a follower who picked up the menu here and was excited. They offer a 3-, 4- or 5-course menu that only needs a finishing touch at home.
► Graham’s Kitchen: It’s been way too long since we went to dinner at Graham’s Kitchen shortly after they opened. But this neighborhood favorite has now also started taking-away. What I like about the menu is that you compose your perfect menu from different á la carte dishes. Handy if, like me, you wouldn’t necessarily want a dessert, but rather an extra hot dish!
► Pikoteo: Bring pikoteo’s Spanish atmosphere to your own living room. With a delicious menu for gastrobar style tapas and dishes that are perfect to share. Also, great: the drinking menu with homemade sangria is at least as extensive.
Coming back soon – hopefully! not yet to order:
► Wild Boar Shop: I haven’t cooked it myself during the first lockdown, but I’ve heard a lot of good stories about it: the menu for wilde boar’s home. Complete with instructional videos, you’ll get started at home with a delicious Wild Boar 3-course menu that regularly changes dishes. You can pick up the menu or have it delivered to your home.
Javaplein 23 HS, Amsterdam – wildezwijnenwinkel.nl
► Hotel de Goudphenzant: Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday a take-away menu. Keep an eye on the Instagram page for the week’s menu. And YES, there are definitely some classics on it that fellow fans will recognize. I mention the Heavenly Mud, but also the terrine beforehand. You can order via the website. In the North they deliver orders above € 80 onwards.
