5 days of Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat at Glastonbury Festival!
If you think that you already know everything by now when it comes to festivals, then you should definitely try a festival overseas. To Burningman, Fusion or Glastonbury. And it is exactly that last festival that I went to. I’ve been going to festival for about 18 years but this one really is a festival extra ordinaire… In 3 letters: WOW.
At 7 AM in the morning we flew to Bristol. Did you by the way know that Banksy comes from Bristol? From the airport of Bristol it is about an hour ride to Glastonbury Festival. I was lucky enough to be invited by Teva to stay in the super cool The Pop-up Hotel. Glamping! With a pool, white tents and some sort of mini festival at the tented camp.
At the festival you can pretty much camp out anywhere. A wonderful mess! On the first evening at the Glastonbury Festival 2015 we tried to explore the area a bit. So big! Lowlands can’t even compete with that. It’s as if you step into a whole new world again after every hundred meter.
Go wild on nineties tunes at the Bar. Have some festival food while we’re at it. Drink a lot of cider! And then to the Shangrila. The area where it all happens during the night. So cool! All clubs and bars. The people were going from one bar to the other like a line of ants. It’s impressive how they can still find their own tent at the end of the night. Although you can only go back home from a night partying when the sun is coming up ;)!
The festival will start their programme on Friday. In part 2 of the Glastonbury festival report I’ll tell you more about that!
