Gio’s by the River opened its doors at the beginning of November and quickly grew into a household name in Amsterdam North. Get to know a place like no other and experience authentic Italian cuisine at the new Gio’s.

Gio’s by the River is a dream for every Italy lover

Anyone who quickly gets overstimulated may prefer to skip Gio’s. The Italian restaurant is a cacophony of color, and everywhere you look, you discover new details. A car on the wall, enormous, modern chandeliers, and an extensive color palette make it a unique whole. You feel like you are in another world, and the staff even makes you think that you have ended up in a passionate Italian family.

Menu Gio’s

The menu is just as nice as the unique and overwhelming interior. Because in addition to the furnishings, Gio’s is all about the real Italy in all its simplicity. The dishes originated in various Italian places, such as Piedmont, Lazio, and Calibria. All ingredients are fresh and largely come directly from Italy – you can taste it.

The carpaccio with fresh truffle is an always-good-classic, and the focaccia is also very popular. In terms of pasta, the console is a must-try, and the one with ragù di manzo is just as good. Gio’s by the River also excels in pizzas: their vegetariana is a favorite with many. And if that’s not enough, they also offer an extensive range of cocktails, all prepared in front of you. As befits an authentic Italian, the staff proudly talks about the unique ingredients of everything served, from the shells in the vongole to that one unique liqueur that sets the cocktail apart from the rest. It creates a pleasant atmosphere with a focus on quality. Because at Gio’s, they know better than anyone that good food doesn’t have to be complicated.
