Tip: May 19 & 20 you want to go to the Gin Festival in Amsterdam!

14 May 2017

Gin Festival 2017 Amsterdam is a ginhalla for gin lovers

Friday May 19 and Saturday May 20, the UnderCurrent in Amsterdam North will be transformed into a true ginhalla! Two days long, at the Gin Festival 2017, you can try a lot of different kinds of gin from 150 different gin-brands. Mixers, gin, vermouths, vodkas, tequilas, mezcals, we can try them all at the Gin Festival 2017. YES!

Wether you’re a true G&T drinker or a gin newbie, at the end of the night you will know everything about gin and you will go home giggling (because of the gin of course ;-)). At the Gin Festival 2017 you can not just taste all those different gins, you can also learn a lot about this popular British drink. Speakers from the Netherlands and abroad, like Chef Schilo van Coevorden, love to tell you more about their profession. From its history, to the creating and packing of gin, tonic and mixers.

Your ticket to the Gin Festival in Amsterdam is an exclusive tasting-glass that you get at the entrance, as well as a Gin Guide. In the Gin Guide, all the (around) 200 brands that are present at the the festival, have their own page where you can make your own notes. The tasting of the drinks is included in the ticket price and at every stand you can buy a full-sized mix drink with special coins. You can get those coins at the festival area and can use them to buy food and drinks.

many, so many cocktails to try at the gin festival 2017

They experiment a lot with gin, because it’s not just the G&Ts anymore that are hot and happening. Nowadays, everything gets mixed and shaken. So also here at the festival! There will be a lot of cocktails and of course we want to try them all! Want to slow down on the alcohol for a bit? Take a break and have some coffee, or something to eat

Make sure you’re available this weekend so you can go to the Gin Festival 2017. It’s going to be a good one!
