at gero amsterdam it feels as if you’re in the beautiful italy and you forgot the time
I’m a little bit in love with Gero Amsterdam. And I’m not even talking about the cozy atmosphere and the tasty Italian dishes that you get at Gero. Gero, the chef and owner has stolen my heart. Gero Amsterdam is an authentic Italian restaurant in Amsterdam West, that you’ve probably walked by a lot of times already. Until today, because this is where you want to enjoy Italian food from now on.
At Gero Amsterdam it isn’t just about the delicious authentic dishes like the Caprese Salad, Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, Pizza Bianca Carciofi and Tiramisu. Here you’ll get the full Italian treatment. Like the Italian chef Gero mentioned already, in Italy it’s usual to sit at the table until the sun goes down (preferably even longer). Something we Dutch people aren’t always used to, because we like to eat and get going. You forget about time and surrender yourself to the delicious food, the coziness and the amazing stories Gero will tell you with pleasure.
you’ll eat the best italian dishes at gero amsterdam
Gero doesn’t just like to talk, he’s also a good cook. Cooking is what Gero loves doing most. Treat his guest and give them an unforgettable night! Ever since here was thirteen, he has been working in the hospitalilty industry. The Sicilian quickly moved to Milan to work at his uncle’s restaurant. Aged 25, he opened his first restaurant, not in Italy, but in Tilburg and now in Amsterdam as well.
On the menu you’ll find real Italian dishes such as pastas and pizzas, but if you want to do Gero a favour, let him do his thing! He will prepare the most amazing and tasteful dishes for you.
The restaurant has a typical Italian vibe. Many, many details and Italian colours. On the walls you’ll see Italian magazines and pictures of when Gero was still a small boy. Go find them! Also fun: on Gero Amsterdam’s blog you can find all the recipes so you can try to make the dishes at home!
