Funnel Cake Ice Cream Sandwiches are the next big thing

Oh my… We spotted a new food trend in the USA and we can’t wait for someone to bring it to Amsterdam. The Funnel Cake Ice Cream Sandwiches! You’ve probably heard from the funnel cake already, it’s a typical American snack. A funnel cake can be compared with the Dutch oliebol en Spanish churros and somehow they look like sticked fries. You eat them with powdered sugar and cinnamon. I really want to try them as the biggest sweet tooth alive!

You can find this fried snack often at fairgrounds and theme parks, but recently also in restaurants and food trucks on the streets. But of course not in the fast food way you probably know them. The funnel cake is transformed into the funnel cake ice cream sandwich. Between the two slices of funnel cake you get a thick slice of ice cream and if you are lucky some sprinkles, Oreo crunch or nuts. So good!

If someone shares my excitement and wants to open a funnel cake food truck in Amsterdam, let me know, I’ll be the first one to try!
