The Foodhallen food market in Amsterdam West!

13 October 2014

De Foodhallen in Amsterdam is a paradise for foodies

YES, The Foodhallen in the former tramshed in Amsterdam West is open. And it’s so cool! You just have to go and check it out yourself. Of course I went there on the first day to try and taste all the good food at the Foodhallen. The official opening is October 21 and they are still working on the last stalls but they’re up and running!

I looked forward to the opening of the Foodhallen so much. Finally Amsterdam got its own indoor food market in Amsterdam West. Something like Chelsea Market and Borough Market, but then with local food entrepreneurs. Some known food concepten, but also new ones. And I have to say… it’s a very tasty mix!

From now on you can enjoy the Foodhallen 7 days a week for food and drinks. Really… there’s almost no reason anymore to cook at home ;-). On weekdays De Foodhallen is open from 11 am to 8 pm and in the weekends until 9 pm or even longer. Tip: the Foodhallen are perfect for a bite after or before seeing a movie at the Filmhallen.

At the Foodhallen you find Friska (healthy and new), Viêt View, Caulils Kaas (for delicious raclette), Pink Flamingo Pizza and many more foodie proof concepts.

And if you want to go out for dinner at a restaurant after a visit to the Foodhallen… Meat WestHalte 3 and Remise 47 are just around the corner in the same building!
