Log cabin full of vintage design!
A great idea if you\’re planning on a city trip to New York is travelling with Iceland Air. You can arrange a stop-over in Reykjavik without extra costs. Reykjavik is a super trendy city with lots of Scandinavian influences! Like Scandinavian design and Nordic jumpers. What really surprised me is that Reykjavik is not a big city, everything is conveniently on walking distance, but Reykjavik is loaded with trendy restaurants and shops! The boyfriend and I had dinner in this very good restaurant Fishcompany (in Icelandic: Fiskfélagid). After a long day at this great excursion `The Golden Circle‘ with a visit to Gullfoss (a huge waterfall) and the geysers Fishcompany was the perfect hot spot to have a very good and relaxed dinner in Reykjavik. I would by the way highly recommend doing some excursions on a short trip to Iceland. Fishcompany is the perfect balance between nature and the city life, the interior design is full of vintage Scandinavian design and I just LOVE the huge moose head which is actually a lamp!
What\’s on the menu this seasons?
What I think is unique about the menu at Fishcompany is that they serve an ‘Around the world menu\’ that can be ordered per table. In this tasting menu the best meat and fish of Icelandic cuisine is combined with spices from all over the world to create a fantastic taste! I can highly recommend it.

– After dinner you can leave your comments on a sticky post and put it on the wall! Something new to the old fashioned guestbook :-).
– The menu is extensive, lot\’s of choices with delicious meat and fish dishes.
– If you\’re a fan of deers like me than you love the interior! The interior design is really hip, with lots of vintage design and wood mixed into a cozy restaurant.

PS: sometimes it\’s just very relaxed to go to dinner in jumpers and comfy shoes. In Iceland this is perfectly ok, cause it can be veeeery cold!!
