Come with me to get breakfast in Taipei 🥢 Straight from the airport to this little spot to taste soup dumplings and so much more! That's what I call a soft landing 😉
Just back from Catalonia and I thought: I'll share some tips right away. During our road trip, we stayed two nights in the Ebro Delta. An incredibly fun stop for families and foodies alike, where there is plenty to do. · A boat trip to the Musclarium is a must! Here you eat oysters and mussels straight from the farm, in the middle of the sea. · Admire the flamingos and black ibises that can be found here all year round. · Rice is grown in the Ebro Delta all year round. For paella, but Kensho also makes sake and miso from it! You can visit them during a tasting. · Cycling along the rice fields, canoeing on the Ebro River, and visiting various beaches. It was still a bit too cold now, but there is plenty to do. · The towns are very low-key and not that exciting, but you can find fantastic local food there. From the Michelin-awarded Les Moles* to local eateries like Vermuteria Bonmarisc and Lo Tinglado. We ate a lot of fish, but also anemone fritters (a first!). Now back to work, and I’m going to create an extensive travel guide of this road trip through Catalonia, but you’ll want to save these tips for a future adventure. ✖️✖️✖️ 🖊️ @anne_de_buck { In this post, I share tips for the Ebro Delta in Spain (Delta de l'Ebre). Are you also participating in Dry January?

This year started for me at the pool in Asia. It's become somewhat of a tradition to take a vacation at the end of the year, clear my head, and celebrate New Year's Eve abroad. To ensure I hold on to that refreshed feeling for as long as possible, I'm participating in Dry January this year. YES, you read that right. After a December full of food and a few too many drinks, I desperately need a fresh start to 2020. Lots of exercise, healthy eating, and 31 days without drinking. In this blog post, you can read more about my motivation and I share 9 Dry January tips to inspire you to join in >>

I will keep you updated on how I'm doing via Instagram Stories!

TIP: Are you also participating in Dry January? Then order one of FÏNLEY's non-alcoholic drinks, such as Bitter Lemon, Tonic, or Ginger Ale with a subtle bitterness.

Waking up on Sunday in… Arnhem!

Every month, a mini guide featuring a great city for a Sunday day (or night) out. We're kicking off the year with Arnhem. A city not only brimming with creativity but also located close to the Veluwe National Park, making it the perfect place to combine city and nature in one weekend. Which destinations shouldn't be missed? Read on!

★ STAY: I mentioned it before, but Arnhem is an incredibly creative city. Why? It's the ultimate city in the Netherlands for fashion school. Staying there is possible at Modez. Here, fashion and design merge in uniquely decorated rooms by Dutch fashion designers like Bas Kosters and Piet Paris.
Elly Lamakerplantsoen 4, Arnhem, hotelmodez.nl

★ FOOD & DRINKS: During my last visit to Arnhem, I was pleasantly surprised by the city's many great restaurants and cafes. One of the best new additions is undoubtedly The Green Rose in Arnhem. This restaurant opens in the afternoon and is a great place for a culinary experience. They cook according to the no-waste principle, and they also have delicious bites for drinks. Another great spot is Bistro Velvet, a gastrobar with a changing menu that every city should have. Meat lovers in Arnhem will want to visit the modern steakhouse Vlees&CO. And let's not forget the classic Stan & Co! Here you can enjoy everything from breakfast to drinks and dinner in a beautiful interior.

Bistro Velvet: Velperbuitensingel 17, Arnhem – bistrovelvet.nl
Meat&CO: New Square 22A, Arnhem – vleesenco.nl
Stan & Co: Willemsplein 46, Arnhem – stan-co.nl

★ SHOPPING: Around the market square in Arnhem, you'll find beautiful old streets lined with boutiques that you simply can't miss during a shopping spree. Because believe me, you can shop like a pro in this fashion city. My favorite neighborhoods are the "Zeven Straatjes" (Seven Streets) in the city center and the Fashion Quarter in the Klarendal district. Pop into concept store Bos & Heij for items from up-and-coming designers. Imagine yourself in an urban jungle at HELLO. It's a place where I always find unique gifts. For the most beautiful home accessories, go to Loft in Arnhem. Be warned: it's a challenge to leave this store without buying something. Another must-see is Lost in Wanderland. This store is full of unique products with a story. Home decor (products), gifts, clothing and accessories, jewelry, plants, and more. Mostly from small labels and Dutch designers!
Bos & Heij: Kerkstraat 36, Arnhem – bosenheij.nl
HELLO.: Klarestraat 1A, Arnhem – instagram.com/hellostorearnhem
Loftloft: Weverstraat 39, Arnhem – Loftloft.nl
Lost in Wanderland: Hommelstraat 60, Arnhem – lostinwanderland.nl

★ FUN THINGS TO DO: For a lovely Sunday morning stroll in Arnhem, head to Park Sonsbeek. This huge park on the edge of the city is perfect for a leisurely stroll. Afterwards, pop into Grand Café aan de Beek for a drink and a treat. Another fun area to explore on Sundays is the Klarendal neighborhood, where the Fashion Quarter boasts numerous studios and shops from Arnhem's creative makers. End the day with a visit to Foodhall Arnhem. This indoor food market has been a huge success since its opening and has become an integral part of the city.

5 Exhibitions Everyone's Talking About in January

FOAM: Foam is one of my personal favorite museums in Amsterdam. The new exhibition "Adorned – The Fashionable Show" recently opened, showcasing a collection of striking fashion-related photos. Fancy a drink afterward? Head to the classic Café Nel on the Amstelveld.
Until March 22, 2020, Amsterdam

➋ World Press Photo: If you missed the World Press Photo exhibition in Amsterdam this year, you can see the impressive photo exhibition in Hilversum this month.
until January 26, 2020, Hilversum

Hermitage: A museum you might not immediately think of in Amsterdam is the Hermitage. It's currently hosting a wonderful exhibition about jewelry that will transport you back in time. Tip: grab a drink afterward at Bam Boa, also located on the Amstel River.
Until March 15, 2020, Amsterdam

Museum Voorlinden: If you've never been to this museum, it's an absolute must. It's the kind of museum you go to not just for a specific collection, but also for the permanent collection. The building and garden alone are impressive! Tip: enjoy a drink afterwards at Restobar Chester.
Continuous, Wassenaar

Museum of Bags and Purses: Did you know that Amsterdam has the largest bag museum in the world? If you're like me and love to travel, you shouldn't miss this new exhibition. It's all about vintage and antique suitcases and their stories.
Until March 22, Amsterdam

2 X 'green' tips for getting out of the city

Anyone who follows me on Instagram Stories knows I can often be found in the woods on weekends. For me, it's the perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and the perfect way to start a Sunday. Throughout the Netherlands, you'll find beautiful parks, beaches, and nature reserves. Every month, we feature two favorites that are perfect for a Sunday stroll.

Lage Vuursche: We recently went for a walk in the woods near Lage Vuursche, and it was so beautiful. Not far from the Randstad, but with the feeling of being completely away from it all. After your walk, enjoy a drink at Restaurant de Bosrand.

➳ Zandvoort / Bloemendaal: Another lovely walk, but this time by the sea. Stroll from Zandvoort to Bloemendaal and back. Stop for a fish snack at one of the stalls on the boulevard and then have a drink at Thalassa, one of the beach pavilions open year-round, even in winter!

3 great addresses for a Zo-Mi-Bo

One of my resolutions is to meet up with friends more often on Sundays for drinks. That's why, every month in 2020, I'll be sharing three more tips for fun hotspots to end the weekend with a cozy get-together. Will you be opting for the Bitter Lemon, Tonic, or Ginger Ale this #drysunday? Here are the Zo-Mi-Bo (Sunday Afternoon Drinks) tips for December:

➊ Brasserie Lolita: this new brasserie is open from early morning until late and is perfect for those who fancy a drink with culinary bites!
Ferdinand Bolstraat 58 – 60, Amsterdam – brasserielolita.nl

➋ The Boathouse: this hotspot on the Kralingse Plas has been a household name in Rotterdam for four years.
Langepad 51, Rotterdam – theboathousekralingen.nl

➌ Café Wunderkammer: on dark winter days, Café Wunderkammer is a well-known place in Nijmegen city centre for drinks.
Houtstraat 47, Nijmegen – cafewunderkammer.nl
