VOLT FESTIVAL // Hungary

VOLT is Sziget’s smaller sister, but has grown to be quite a big festival. The line-up used to be mainly Hungarian acts, but that’s changed. Dozens of International artists have recently coming to the city that’s about 60 km from Vienna, and 80 km from Bratislava.

EXIT FESTIVAL // Serbia

EXIT started as a student protest and is now one of the biggest music festivals of Europe, in Novi Sad, Serbia. The podiums are located between huge, partially broken down walls, that can be reached via the brick bridges and old tunnels, while the Donau flows beneath you. What an experience!

BALATON SOUND // Hungary

At Balaton Sound you can dance by the water till the sun rises in Hungary. There are more than 30 party locations, known artists, and a lot of lounge places by the water. Or in other words, the ultimate relax spot and party spot in one. Hello summer!

POHODA FESTIVAL // Slovakia

Pohoda in Slovakia is the most popular open-air event in Slovakia and that isn’t so surprising. It’s held at the local airport of Trenzin and is transformed to a colourful festival where you can go crazy for three days.

ELECTRIC CASTLE // Romania

This festival should be on your bucketlist: Electric Castle in Romania. A magical location with multiple stages, and music like rock, indie, hip hop, reggae, and electronic, and a very unique atmosphere. In 2013 they were nominated at the ‘Best Medium Sized Festival’.

SEA DANCE FESTIVAL // MONTENEGRO

Sea Dance Festival started by a collaboration with EXIT and was used as a big finish to the biggest festival in Serbia. Now it’s turned into a lot more than that! The unique location in combination with the sun shining down on you, the clear water from the Adriatic sea, sand between your toes, good music, and an enthusiastic audience, makes it worth it to visit the festival, especially for the electro music lovers.

MELT // germany

MELT is one of the biggest and most unique pop, hip hop, techno, house and electro festivals in Germany. Nice and close, on an industrial area, and where the music is played nonstop for three days. Int he evening the festival is compared to a futuristic lightcity.

COLOURS OF OSTRAVA // Czech republic

Colours of Ostrava is the biggest International and most diverse music festival in the Czech Republic and needs to be on your festival bucketlist. The festival has more than just music, but also film, theater, debates, workshops, DJ’s and small, intimate acts. Nice!

B my Lake will be in the Hungarian Zamárdi this year and is almost right after the Sziget festival, so you can just continue partying. The festival wil be held on the water which makes for an amazing atmosphere, so good!

Dimensions will be held in the Croatian Pula and offers a wide selection of electronic music like house, techno, but also jazz, funk, soul and drum. It’s held in the 19th century fort in Pula, so it’s a maze with lots of areas and hallways. So cool!
