Feed Your Wanderlust, the travel book for everyone who loves the bohemian lifestyle

From Sri Lanka to Bali and from Vietnam to South Africa

Whenever a book comes from the printer, my heart jumps into my throat. Did it turn out exactly how I envisioned? Are there any errors? Are the photos beautifully printed? Would you give it to your best friend for her birthday? And, last but not least, how beautiful will it look when this book is displayed on your bookshelf or coffee table?

As I write this, the second edition of my book, "Staycation," has just gone to the printer, and I can already celebrate another success. My latest book, "Feed Your Wanderlust," is available! Perhaps the most personal book yet. And secretly, also the most beautiful. Everything is perfect. From the photography to the design and the interviews I conducted with all the inspiring women, because this book also had to challenge me. The result? 221 pages of travel inspiration that, in my opinion, perfectly captures the zeitgeist.

What can you expect in this book? I'll tell you more in this blog post!

13 travel guides for bohemian destinations

This book isn't a standard travel guide, but a guide about travel as a lifestyle. I'll share my current perspective on travel, but also give you tools to put your travels into practice right away. For example, you'll find travel guides for a variety of destinations with concrete tips. Destinations I think you absolutely should visit. I've counted them for you: there are thirteen in total (what's in a number!), covering destinations from Uganda to Bali and Croatia, and from Ibiza to Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

My personal view on travel happiness, chronic wanderlust, traveling in the moment and slowing down

I kick off the book with a chapter entirely dedicated to how I've come to approach travel in recent years. These aren't individual trips; travel has become even more deeply ingrained in my daily life. From hotspots to palm trees, and tons of tips on how to incorporate that bohemian lifestyle into your travels and maintain it even when you're not. It's about slowing down, (digital) detoxing, and how to make your home a reflection of your wanderlust-filled life. I'm a big proponent of traveling in the moment. Consciously enjoying the beauty around you and engaging with social media at set times instead of spending your entire trip looking at your phone instead of around you.

I'll cover all sorts of topics, along with tips from inspiring ladies and friends like @MiluTurpijn, Rachel from @DeHuismuts, the dream travel duo @FindUsLost, and the sweet Claire, who you might know better as @claartjerose. But don't worry, you know me. It's anything but vague; I'm too down-to-earth for that. That's why, in this chapter, you'll also find tips for the perfect boho outfit, advice for packing lists from safari to road trip, and tips for the best flea markets around the world (for finds that will give your home that personal touch).

When traveling alone isn't enough anymore…

Should I get married abroad? Will I ever move abroad again? Will I ever go to Burning Man? And how do I go about fulfilling my long-cherished dream of a world trip? A dose of travel inspiration that has even helped me, as a professional travel blogger, gather tips for years of wonderful adventures.

 | Points of sale: You can, of course, order the book online at Bol.com, among others, but at the bottom of this post you will find Feed Your Wanderlust's points of sale throughout the country.

46 tips in the bohemian bucket list

I'm closing Feed Your Wanderlust with a bucket list of 46 tips from people I enjoy following. Some are known to hundreds of thousands of Instagram followers, others are primarily known to their own friends for their best travel tips, as they themselves are much less prominent journalists. And that's precisely why I'm so pleased with the mix of tips. Tips for everyone with wanderlust. Regardless of age or budget, these 46 tips contain unique experiences that you can then interpret in your own unique way. Let them inspire a life full of adventure. Because that's what I want to share with you with this new book. FEED YOUR WANDERLUST.
