FC Hyena Amsterdam: cinema with restaurant in North

17 August 2016

fc hyena amsterdam takes your movie night to a higher level!

A reconstruction of your typical movie night: you’re going to the movies with your date or friend. You meet up at the entrance, buy tickets at the counter, get some popcorn and search for your seat number. You watch the movie and afterwards you throw the empty popcorn bucket in the trash bin. You say goodbye to your friend and go your own way. Because let’s face it, in most cinemas a cozy setting for a proper aftertalk is missing. And that’s what the initiators behind FC Hyena also thought. So they decided to fill the gap. FC Hyena Amsterdam is going to take your classic movie night out to a higher level!

fc hyena amsterdam 600x450 1Founders Lot and Joris always wanted to start a movie theatre. When the M-Lab in North, next to Hotel de Goudfazant and Hangar, closed down they immediately saw the opportunity. They transformed this former theatre into FC Hyena: a movie theatre with two cinemas. One with 100 seats, one with 50 seats. Including a twist: you don’t see chairs here, but selfmade benches with room for 15 people. How cool!

The men behind Hotel de Goudfazant are responsible for the drinks and foods. And that means it’s good ;-) They want to create the perfect setting for discussing the film you just watched. Therefor you can choose from an extensive wine menu and different bites. Like tacos, grilled oysters and patties from the wood oven. And even more surprising; the large movie room includes a bar! Before and after the movie you can order your drinks here. Sounds good right?

And about the movies, they promise to be as good as the food! The movies will be a mix of art house and popular movies. Actually just everything that the founders like :-) FC Hyena Amsterdam is already open, so you can check it out! The address of FC Hyena is Aambeeldstraat 24! Enjoy!
