Looking for a lovely hotel in Amsterdam for a great city break? This overview features the best hotels and short-stay apartments in the city's most charming neighborhoods. From Amsterdam West to the Nine Streets, and from luxury canal-side hotels to the best budget-friendly hotels in Amsterdam East. What do these hotels, in varying price ranges, have in common? Their interiors are unique and stunning! Whether you prefer vintage and bohemian styles or a mix of classic and modern, you'll feel right at home with the recommendations from this list of our current favorite hotels in Amsterdam!

Tips for finding a nice hotel in Amsterdam:

For a weekend in Amsterdam, think about what you want to do. Do you want to explore a new neighborhood, visit a specific museum, or go shopping? Find a hotel near those areas. Depending on your budget, you can choose a hotel a bit further from the city center, so you'll still be in a nice hotel but still reasonably affordable. Another thing I always consider is whether or not I'll be using the facilities frequently. A hotel with a pool or spa is nice, but if you're hardly ever in the hotel, you might not use it at all. Traveling with kids? Then it might be wise to carefully check the terms and conditions (and additional costs) for adding extra beds to the room.

Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam

Staying at the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam means immersing yourself in pure luxury.

The beautiful monumental buildings on the historic Herengracht are worth a visit in themselves. But the reason both locals and #hotellifelovers love to stay at the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam come are the great facilities. From the two Michelin star restaurant Spectrum**, to afternoon tea at Peacock Alley (which, in my opinion, is the best in the city). Be sure to have breakfast delivered to your room to enjoy the ultimate peace and luxury. Then, spend a relaxing morning at the Guerlain Spa with its lovely pool, sauna, and relaxation area.
