B. in New York City: romantic dinner at Exchange Alley in the East Village

25 August 2013

A hotspot for food lovers Exchange Alley!

Want to have a great dinner in a charming place? Then go to Exchange Alley! It’s perfect for a romantic dinner with your lover.

Before we get to our table we drink a vino at the bar. There we’re having the New Orleans style ‘Jambalaya Balls’. These are one of the favorites here and I can see why. What’s in them balls?!

I like the atmosphere inside. All the candles and old-fashioned lamps make it a cozy and welcoming scene. Just how I like it. They have got some cool artwork hanging. And pictures on the walls of artist.

The delicious menu at Exchange Alley

A super friendly and enthusiastic waiter is serving us. They all look very hip in their cool outfits and tattoos. Yeah, gotta love those tattoos! He advises us to have the ‘Grilled Corn Broth’ and he was right, this is super fresh and creamy. The excellent grilled and juicy ‘Hanger Steak’ and taste of the fresh and flavorful tomatoes from the ‘Braciola’ will excite every foodie. Soft and beautifully red, exactly as we ordered it. We can’t get enough of it, so for dessert we order the salty caramel pie with peanuts.

Where in other places they try to get you out asap at Exchange Alley they are very attentive and let you enjoy your evening for as long as you want to.
Brunch next week??? They play live jazz!
