A cookbook from Grandma. Three Michelin stars. And a beautiful 70s villa in a quiet neighborhood in Bangkok, where you are welcomed as if you were at the chefs' home.
The Sühring brothers do not cook based on trends; they cook from memories. Of their grandmother's farm, of the flavors of their youth in Germany, and of techniques passed down through generations.
@relaischateaux invited me to experience Sühring during a solo lunch, and this is truly my ultimate definition of culinary self-care.
This was a surprising afternoon in Bangkok, where I ate the best German food I have ever tasted. And that in a city where I normally avoid European restaurants. Well, for @restaurant_suhring, you really want to make that exception.
Signature dishes that I still think back to regularly?

In this reels I take you along for fine dining in Bangkok at the three Michelin starred restaurant Sühring.
This is one of the nicest free outings in the spring! Did you know that you can gather (or pick, for the connoisseurs 😉) oysters yourself in various places in the Netherlands? I’m in Zeeland for a bit this weekend, and if we can, we’ll go again.

– Max. 10 kilos per person (≈ 1 bucket)

Handy to take with you:
Bucket, screwdriver, boots, work gloves, tea towel, clean clothes and garbage bags (for the oysters and dirty clothes).
And of course: also bring an oyster knife, lemon and champagne 🍋🥂Because you want to taste something right away!
The oyster season runs from September to about April / early May, so now that the water isn't so cold, this is the perfect outing.

Tip: Ask for a room on a high floor for a fantastic view of the city.

You can also opt for a loft room; these are located in the lighthouse, and the high ceilings give it a very spacious feel. Highly recommended!

Vintage: This cozy restaurant on Kerkstraat is a great spot for lunch or dinner. The menu changes with the seasons, and you can enjoy a three-course meal for under €30.

Black and White Coffee: A must-visit coffee shop in Eindhoven is ZwartWit Koffie, located in the upcoming Victoriapark in the center of Eindhoven. This Australian-style coffee shop will make you feel right at home! Enjoy a delicious breakfast, your daily caffeine fix, or tea and cake for those who don't drink coffee.

Barracks: Kazerne isn't just for food and drinks. This industrial space in the heart of Eindhoven also serves as an art gallery. A great place for lunch, dinner, or just drinks!

Mr Sister: De Kleine Berg is undoubtedly one of Eindhoven's up-and-coming streets. One of the newest hotspots there is food bar Mr. Sister. Not only is the food delicious, but the interior is also a real eye-catcher with its pink chairs and sofas!

The Happiness Café: My number one favorite for breakfast in Eindhoven is The Happiness Café. For the tastiest breakfast bowls (which you can order all day) or a healthy salad or wrap for lunch. They recently also opened The Happiness Kitchen where you can go in the evening for a healthy home cooked meal (also for take-away).

Gusto040: This is one of those places where Eindhoven locals love to return. Delicious and affordable food in a homey atmosphere with friendly service. I often order the soft Pata Negra and delicious cheese fondue here.

Radio Royal: If there's one restaurant in Eindhoven you absolutely must try, it's Radio Royaal, located in the former Philips energy house. It's highly recommended for a leisurely three-course meal, but you can also order à la carte.

Pastry Club: I can be brief about this: for the most delicious cakes, chocolate and other sweets, you must go to the Pastry Club.

Vershal het Veem: This fresh produce market at the end of Torenallee most closely resembles a genuine Spanish mercado. You'll find a mix of artisanal food shops, but you can also grab a bite to eat at several stalls.

Soul Kitchen: At the "social" restaurant Soul Kitchen, the menu changes weekly. There's always a choice of meat, fish, or vegetarian, and you can see what's on the menu on their Facebook page. Take a seat in the vintage interior and play one of the board games after dinner for some old-fashioned fun.

Under the Leidingstraat: This healthy food hotspot is a mini organic supermarket and lunch café all rolled into one. Grab a treat to take home, stick around for a good cup of coffee or fresh juice, or stop in for lunch. The sandwich with homemade hummus is highly recommended!

Danish Krone: You don't have to go all the way to Stockholm for this Scandinavian concept store. In the heart of Eindhoven, Deense Kroon offers the finest Scandinavian fashion brands, both well-known and lesser-known, in a variety of price ranges, as well as stylish home accessories.

Hutspot: At Hutspot in Eindhoven, you'll find the most beautiful lifestyle items in their 700m² store. This location features even more attention to emerging young designers in "The Design Shop" than we're used to from Hutspot. Also nice: there's a shop-in-shop for The Happiness Bakery, which I mentioned earlier in this guide!

Vielgut: This concept store lives up to its name. Shop here and you can leave guilt-free. Vielgut sells only brands that are not only good for your sense of style, but also for the environment.

Gusj Market: For unique home decor finds, Gusj Market in Strijp-S is a must-see. Vintage and new, colorful and industrial, with a touch of bohemian flair. I could always spend hours browsing there! This enormous store is right next to the Pastryclub.

Piet Hein Eek: A gallery, shop, and restaurant by one of the Netherlands' most iconic designers, Piet Hein Eek. The shop sells his own designs, vintage pieces, and a well-curated collection by other designers. The restaurant is a great place for lunch or to end your day in Eindhoven with a three-course dinner.
