I LOVE… cookbooks! This week: Alex Atala’s D.O.M.

Last year my brother and B. (our NY blogger!) went to Brasil on holiday. The spectacular jungle and diversity of this country make that Brasil is on my bucket list for years now. As a culinary travel blogger I would die for a reservation at D.O.M. in Sao Paulo. This restaurant by top chef Alex Atala belongs to the top-10 restaurants in the world!

If you read the new cookbook D.O.M. you understand why! Alex Atala has so much respect for the Amazon in Brasil and uses ingredients so pure… This cookbook tells the story of 65 special ingredients from the Amazon jungle. These ingredients are used in the dishes at D.O.M. and Alex Atala shares his spectacular recipes with you. The photo’s and story by this top Chef are amazing.

Everyone who is a culinary traveler and loves to read about food and culture from all over the world will love this book. Trying the recipes at home is a bit difficult though, since the ingredients are not widely for sale ;-). But as a foodie I always like to try and test!
